We had a delicious $8 Satay feast here by the riverfront in Kuantan, Malaysia.

The ladies who owned the sate shop were absolutely lovely so friendly.
They let me have a go at cooking the satay but I wasn't up for the job it's actually pretty difficult they have some skills.

Malaysian satay is some of the best in the world and this spot was really good.

I traveled to >20 countries and in most countries when they are (seller/local) this nice to you usually its a sign that you'll be scammed. But not in Malaysia. They are very genuine. Love this video. Bless Malaysians.
  • Kakak and dotter speak good english , better than some senior people in government departments who struggled to communicate at forums . What a lovely little place in Kuantan.

We Malaysian speaks 3 languages and sometimes more. That is why a lot of travelers/tourist like to travel here because is easy to communicate, unless you go to the rural area. Enjoy your 1 month stay. ❀
  • In Malaysia, many traders, small or large, are university graduates. now many people do not have jobs that match their qualifications. so don't underestimate them because they work in restaurants or supermarkets.

You can use the empty skewers to eat the rice cubes and cucumbers. Plus you can always ask for extra sauce

Glad to see you enjoyed the satay there..nice food and friendly people.. If you're eating satay keep the stick so that you can skewer others like onions, cucumber and nasi impit and dip them in the peanut sauce straight away.. it'll be much easier to eat..

Small tip on eating satay. You can use the skewers to pick up the nasi impit , onion and satay all together with the sauce and creat an explosive flavor
