Dear Doctor, I'm grateful for your video on gestational diabetes! As a pregnant woman from Kolkata, I've been searching for reliable information. My HbA1C report in the first trimester was 6.5, and my gynecologist referred me to an endocrinologist at KPC Hospital. However, the endocrinologist suggested insulin treatment, which I declined. Instead, I followed a healthy diet for two months and retook the tests: PP (95), fasting sugar (92), and HbA1C (5.5). When I showed the reports to the endocrinologist, they dismissed the improvement, stating that HbA1C doesn't matter during pregnancy and insisted I start insulin. I've since received numerous calls from insulin companies, making me realize the commercial aspect. Your video has been a beacon of hope, offering valuable insights. Thank you for sharing your expertise!
