  • Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellan are like the cutest best friends ever. The bromance between these two is so adorable and we've watched it since this movie premiered 24 years ago. They are two of the kindest, sweetest, hippest, loving old men in the world. ❀

Fun Fact, Ray Park is the one playing Toad. He also played Darth Maul in Phantom Menace
  • When Jay realized that the guy who plays Magneto is the same actor ( Sir Ian McKellen, FYI) who plays Gandalf and got excited, that made me smile. I can't wait for them to find out what other famous character Patrick ( Professor X) Stewart plays in popular culture, but they haven't even started their Original journey, yet! I hope that they start Star Trek, sooner than later.
  • I am a 68 yo black woman. My mother was born with a patch of white hair in the front of her head. I look just like my Mom. I started to develop a white patch when I turned 16yo. My daughter looks like me and my Mom. She developed a white patch at 17 yo. She has a daughter who looks exactly like my Mom. She will be 16 this year. My daughter and I are breathlessly waiting to see if she will develop the white patch and at what age. My white patch turned into a entire head of white hair with some gray patches. If I say so myself....it is beautiful.

2 of England's greatest Shakesperean actors together. That's a recipe for some excellent scenes.
  • The girl, Anna Paquin. She won an Oscar at 11. Great in terrific movie "THE PIANO" She also starred in "TRUE BLOOD"πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

X-Men along with Spider-Man in 2002 are the movies most responsible for kickstarting the modern era of superhero films
  • "Cuz he's like a wolf!" Or.... like a wolverine? Yeah thats an actual animal.

7:29 πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚brought a gun to a knife fight and he still lostπŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚You cracked me up,
  • Cyclops optic blasts are concussive. There’s no heat. He can also punch a hole through a mountain. He’s one of the most dangerous and courageous members of the X-Men. He also can’t turn off the blasts. He must always wear ruby-quartz lenses to screen the force.
  • The actress that played Mystique in this movie was married to "Uncle Jesse" John Stamos in real life.
  • Do Superman (1978) ,soon. You will love Christopher Reeves as Clark Kent/ Superman and he really sold his dual roles. He made you believe Clark was a stumble bum and as soon as he took off the glasses, you saw Superman.

    - This was the film debut of Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine. Before this, Jackman was in a major revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma for the National Theater in London. A video of that production can be found online, and he played Curly, who sings "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning." Since then, Jackman is about to be seen in his 10th appearance as Wolverine in Deadpool and Wolverine with Ryan Reynolds. He has also made many amazing films, including musicals (Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, P.T. Barnum in The Greatest Showman), romantic comedies (Kate & Leopold), action films (Swordfish, Van Helsing) and others. One of my favorites that is a mindbender is The Fountain...it actually takes at least two or three viewings to get that movie. - Famke Janssen who plays Jean Grey was in another huge franchise for only one film. She played a villainess in the James Bod film GoldenEye, which was the debut of Pierce Brosnan as Bond in 1995. Her name in the film is...unique and memorable and perfect for a Bond girl. - Bryan Singer, besides directing many of the X-Men films (directing four, but having input on others) also directed The Usual Suspects, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Superman Returns (an attempt to reboot the Superman films before Man of Steel and the DCEU). He directed Kevin Spacey to his Oscar for Verbal Kint in Suspects, and Rami Malek to his Oscar for Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. - The chemistry between Sir Ian McKellen (Magneto) and Sir Patrick Stewart (Professor X) is one of the highlights of these films. They knew of each other before X-Men, as they are both well regarded and established stage actors with lots of Shakespeare roles between them, but had never met in real life. Since then, they have become best friends. They are extremely close...in fact, when Patrick married his wife, Sunny, Ian officiated the nuptials. They have done plays together in London and New York as well as other X-Men films. These men are the definition of friendship goals.
  • @KarlKraus1
Ian mckellen was just finished filming this movie when he was contacted by Peter Jackson and his producers and asked him to be Gandalf
  • @HistoryGuy1791
X2 and X-Men First class are the best movies in the series, in my opinion. This first one is really good and sets the tone nicely.
  • Jay looking like a kid on Saturday morning watching cartoons πŸ˜‚
  • @jp3813
Don't know which cartoon you used to watch, but X-Men '97 (2024) is currently the best adaptation in the entire franchise. Highly recommended even to those who have never seen the 90s show.
  • @mwooldridge9155
If nobody has mentioned it yet, the guy playing Toad is the same person that played Darth Maul in Star Wars .
  • @perfectq7206
The problem isn't that the mutants are mutants, it's that they're also human.
  • @polyglot12
The opening of this film really gives it gravitas. You've got to watch 'Blade'. That's the real if unofficial start of the Marvel superhero films, not to mention an influence on 'The Matrix'. And it's a really good film.
