We're back with another 3 LEVELS Build, this time it's Cutting Boards - Beginner to PRO.
Thanks to Bespoke Post for sponsoring this video. Get 20% off your first monthly box when you sign up at bspk.me/john and use promo code JOHN20 at checkout!

We dive into 3 different styles on this project. Jordan keeps it basic with a long grain board with a beveled edge, Sam builds a beautiful walnut end grain board that includes a juice groove. I build this whack 3D style board that takes more time than is probably necessary.

  • Honestly I like looking at the beginner one the most. It's not too dark, it's not an optical illusion in your face, and the design is just elegant and clean.
  • I personally like Jordan’s more. Sams was to dark and John’s was to busy. They all looked awesome but sometimes quick and simple is the way to go lol
  • If I gotta be honest, I think Jordan's appeals the most to my tastes. Simple and clean. Sam's is lovely but it came out way darker than I anticipated. John's is a sweet design and build process but almost too mesmerizing, lol Great stuff guys!
  • I actually loved the first one that Jordan did...thought it looked good, and especially the touch of slanted sides so you don't even need extra handles! Great job Jordan!!! 😁👍
  • @87ambi
I personally love the simplicity from Jordan’s board it’s very calm. The others boards are a bit busy 🤗Sam’s board is my favorite. The dark wood and contrast gorgeous. John you did a great job!
  • Congrats to Sam, i think Johns personality and showmanship is rubbing off on him and his presentation and style are really coming together. Good boards all round guys
  • @DIY_Joe
"cutting board all built from scrap wood" Pulls out 8ft piece of purple heart nice job though lol
  • I really liked the "beginner" board. It was simple, yet beautiful. But each one had something to appreciate for sure
  • @lemm1388
"It's going to be scrap wood from around the shop" Pulls out a pieces long enough to frame a small house.
  • To have in my kitchen to actually use and see on a regular basis? The "beginner" one. Very simple but beautiful use of the colors and contrast. The other two would be nice novelty pieces to pull out when there's company for something overly fancy (which, honestly, we never do), but that would be it. They're all gorgeous, though. Well done gentlemen!

Sam your board was too dark in the end but the design is neat and clever. Jordan you chamfered at 27 degrees; Sam would approve of that, love the simplicity of yours. Mamma would be chopping parsley about 9 days earlier than waiting for the other two to finish their fancy layouts. John yours is immense in all ways and perfect for the Zen cook that has to contemplate the very nature of infinity as they chop. C'mon make part 2 of this where you inlay them all into each other and spiral off the edge of the universe....
  • @tommyis13
Love the boards, all three of them and the 3 way builds too.
  • @richs5422
Very cool pattern. Love how it goes from squares on the diagonals to rectangles on the sides.
  • Wow, this was definitely next level! You guys are true masters of your craft, and I appreciate you sharing your skills with all of us.

I don't understand how this channel isn't the #1 woodworking channel because it's by far the best.
