Imagine going to kill someone only for them to see you, scream and turn around just to start counting to 30 in a hysterical voice like a twisted game of hide and seek.

It really is too bad this game didn’t have SOME sort of save mechanism because I think it would have garnered a lot more longevity if it had. Even though it was quite popular upon release, a lot of people have forgotten about it now and I think that’s because so few people want to jump into a save file they know they’ll need to play for several hours, knowing they’ll likely fail. As cool as this game is, I don’t blame Mark for not finishing it.

I love at 6:55 you see all the people in the game chat on the left going back and forth like "save her" "kill her" but there's this one guy who's just like "this girl needs some conditioner"

can we just talk about how this apartment should be sued for making people live in a place where the power goes out every 5 mins and THEY have to fix it? and they don't get paid for it?

I’m convinced that the cops don’t care what you’re doing on the deep web, they’re just upset that you’re on the computer past your bed time.

I like to imagine the kidnappers in game while they're outside the appartment just hear mark yelling at a nonexistent chat about "I DID LOCK THE DOOR!"

I think the worst part about this game is that when you think a website is innocent it's absolutely shockingly horrible

gotta be honest, in spite of this game's massive flaws that led to mark (entirely rightfully) never finishing it, i always find myself coming back to this series. i'm deeply fascinated by the concept; the situations in this game are so real and so horrifying, from what you find on the internet to the fact you have to be completely silent if you even suspect someone is after you. I'm not saying the game's portrayal of the dark web in itself is correct, but as someone with a morbid fascination for the pits of humanity, seeing these horrific websites laid out in a manner that reminds you there is someone in real life who does things like this... it creeps me the feck out.
