Standing On The Rock/Ozark Mtn Daredevils

Published 2020-09-07
Playing along from 1973 deep cut excellence timeless classic from the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. love the way this rolls.
decided to try the introduction cuz there's actually two guitars that play through this you have your main rhythm guitar and then you have the one playing the accompaniment and the fills..
it derailed twice once in the beginning then as it was pulling into the final station and fell off the tracks again but oh well fuck it was fun. Have not played this in a long time but just good to see if I had the stamina to strum the shit out of that thing still it's not an easy one to keep it going.

one of cool things about this tune always has been the harmonica which I used to be able to do, but too many years of smoking now I don't have the lung power for that anymore but certain things I can almost breathe my way through..but it's a great song just a good old-fashioned almost gospel tinge to it but a fantastic song from a great debut album.

This is one of my favorite songs from my brother in law "Supe". I play it on the Uke all the time. I would love to learn the harmonica parts. Maybe I can get Mike to teach me.
