Billie and FINNEAS revealed to Zane that this album has been the most challenging for their relationship as music partners and siblings. They dive into specific tracks, like reaching new vocal heights on "BIRDS OF A FEATHER" and updating songs written years ago for "BLUE." They compare the experience creating this album to Billie's previous two albums, and share how they've grown as artists and people since their debut with WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?

i need billie to make a casual youtube channel atp, i just wanna hear her talk. about anything. just her yapping away. her presence is so comforting and she just seems so cool. i miss her.
-
i love how finneas is able to so eloquently translate billie's rawest ideas. they are such a perfect duo
-
This is not an interview this is a therapy session.
-
Finneas is so proud of the "Skinny -> Lunch" humor, I swear he turned into a dad when he mentioned it 😂
-
21:11 “nobody complains about something amazing being ‘too long’.” EXACTLY FINNEAS!!!!! there are incredible critically acclaimed albums over 60 minutes long.
-
It's crazy how Finneas was the one who didn't want to make music (around 24:00) because his production was the star of this album, it really was
-
If this was 62 hours long I’d still watch it all
-
28:09 „I wanted Billie to come over and feel like I had value“ bro has me crying here
-
i love how they managed to create something so incredibly unique even after being in a creative rut where they couldve just stuck to what they know but instead, continued to grow in each of their talents. these two are so amazing
-
basically two siblings throwing compliments at each other
-
when the interviewer's like "lunch is a metaphor for taking control of your life" and billie is clearly thinking something else is such a hilarious moment
-
billies so high vibration. her aura, her presence, her energy: we can all feel it THROUGH A SCREEN. its wild af.
-
i can’t even explain the way she makes me feel alright, just her presence is making me feel happy, i’ll always defend her, i deeply love her
-
"Hit Me Hard And Soft" hits me so hard

I have never seen a pair of siblings with such deep love and respect for each other. The way they talk to each other is so beautiful to me. And it enables some incredible collaboration. So special.
-
The portion of the conversation beginning at around 23:30 is one of the most honest and vulnerable windows into the lives of creatives at this level that I've ever seen. Finneas talking about feeling disconnected from Billie and also feeling like the life he lives keeps him from having anything of value to say -- this is the curse of success for artists, and I honestly don't think I've ever seen someone who's currently in the thick of it having such clarity about it and actively trying to figure out how to work through that.

HIT ME HARD AND SOFT is definitively the album of the year 💆🏽♀️
-
"being alive is an unhinged experience" lmao i love that 😂
-
imma need billie and finneas to have their own podcast😭 it’s amazing to hear how articulated they are through their creativity
