    Martha’s obsessive behaviour was actually explained in the ending where in one of the voice notes, she said she would hold on to a baby reindeer toy whenever her parents were fighting. Hence, why she thinks Donny is her baby reindeer in person.

    The trauma dump on stage scene didn't actually happen. Richard said it was one of the changes he made to the story to make it more fit for a tv show

    Martha's actor was INCREDIBLE, i was really uncomfortable for most of the show but i couldn't stop watching, it was honestly hard not binging it. It was a weird state of being uncomfortable and in awe at the same time because she was so immersive yet i was still admiring how good of an actor she is at the same time

    I feel bad for Richard Gadd. That's brutal. I guess I'm grateful he got the story out. Not easy to talk about but he's probably at the point where he feels like there's nothing else to lose. Healing is tough especially from wounds as deep as that.
