UFC “We are the most exciting fighting promotion in all of combat sports ever.” Pride “Hold my steriods”

What I loved about Pride is people were afraid when they were on the ground and the opponent was standing. Nowadays the goof on the ground can taunt the standing opponent with little fear. I mean they can get body and leg kicked but it's nothing like a good ole soccer kick.

The level of violence Wanderlei Silva could unleash in just a few seconds is something I never saw any fighter do. There are violent fighters and there is Wanderlei Silva.

4:30 The most aura-shattering fight in Pride's history. Sakuraba getting KOd by Nino made it clear his time as a top talent was over.

knee to downed opponent should be legal, ONE did it better than the other. making it illegal really give advantage to the wrestler and give no reward for fighter that defend the takedown. merab dvalishvili and aljamain sterling show this and abuse this.

Those super knees from Randleman looked almost as terrifying as Shogun's flying stomps

The pride anthem is the best thing ever I feel like a little kid before Christmas when I hear it

Shogun's run in 2005 is my favorite performance by a fighter. Pride was the pinnacle of fighting. I miss it and after watching this video it makes complete sense why I don't watch combat sports anymore. The best years have passed.

All of the people who complain about the “knee to the head of a grounded opponent” rule and think that it would help solve the problem of wet blanket wrestlers…. Take a look. Wet blanket now has knees.

I’m convinced that this promotion is solely based on 2 guys trying to kill each other

Back in the day I remember watching Pride way more than UFC. Pride was just more brutal and exciting in my eyes.

Pride was the best organization in the history of MMA. I never watched UFC crap while Pride was up.
