  • I have a male friend that has type 2 diabetes and I have learned more from you than I have learned from all his diabetes drs over the years. I watch your videos to help my friend out. He gets the blisters on his knuckles and this just started about a year ago. He goes through hell with diabetic neuropathy pain in his feet. He sometimes sits and crys because it burns so bad on his feet. He says it feels Iike someone is burning his feet with a fist full of lit cigars. His hands and feet also have numbness in them. He has diabetic gastroparisis in his stomach, and he gets sick at his stomach and throws up from the gastroparisis. It's really sad to watch him suffer so much. He's such a good person and he doesn't deserve to suffer like that. I wish I could do more for him to help him. Thank you so much for all your amazing videos. You have no idea how much you are helping diabetics get better control of their diabetes. God Bless you and may the Lord keep you safe and healthy for many many years to come.

This video is a sign from above I need to pull my head in and start taking care of myself... I'm 27 and have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes since I was 12 weighing in at a whooping 120kgs I lost over 40kgs when I turned 16 over about 2 years. Up until 2 years ago I managed to stay under 100kgs, until I got back together with my partner. I've slowly gotten lazy again n gained all my weight back I'm currently about 112kgs and NEARLY EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE SKIN ISSUES are reappearing slowly again. Thanks Dr for giving me a massive wake up call I don't wanna surcome to my diabetes and teach my daughter that this life is normal as I grew up thinking it was...

Type II diabetics experiencing the thirst and vicious circle of drinking water and going to the bathroom will often deplete their B vitamins. Taking regular supplements of B vitamins (they work together), Vitamin E, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Gamma lipoic acid will help your body metabolize the sugars present in your diet (even if you are eating low carb). One of the symptoms of low B6 or low B7 is the pins and needles tingling in the fingers which is common to type II diabetes mellitus. I found this out by reading books, my doctor didn't mention it. Some of the natural forms of B vitamins include Bee pollen, leafy green vegetables. Some of these vegetables can be high in oxalates so best to pick some with low levels of oxalates because you're already putting your kidneys under a lot of stress if you're in the frequent urination circle. Diabetes is a disease of inflammation so eating foods rich in antioxidants that fight inflammation can help. They also provide fiber that feed your gut bacteria. This type of food is usually plant-base and isn't found in boxes. One hormone which contributes to the release of glucose in the blood stream is cortisol, the stress hormone. Best to avoid people who stress you out, Yoga may be an option to reduce stress levels. Avoid arguing with dumb people on social media, take a walk instead.

Number 1: No sugar. Number 2: low carbs Number 3: intermittent fasting. A1C from 7.4 to 5.4 in 6 months!
  • I've been suffering with skin rash but I've never been tested for diabetes. I stumbled on your video and now I'm convinced I have diabetes. I'm going to my doctor asap! Thank you Doc. You probably saved my life!

Thank you so much for all the cool information! My husband was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a few years ago when he was just not feeling himself for a couple months and ended up in the ER with his blood sugar at 832! They said he was lucky to be conscious and alive! We knew nothing about diabetes. Heโ€™s 56 now and is much better at managing his diabetes but he has a bad habit of skipping meals and/or meds so I am learning as much as possible about the disease so I can stay informed and help him as much as possible. I have learned how to cook healthy food and have lots of diabetic recipe books and get a lot of recipes from YouTube as well. So glad I found your channel! I am definitely going to subscribe. Diabetes is on both sides of my family in almost all of my relatives on my dadโ€™s side and about half on my momโ€™s side. I am 45 and donโ€™t have diabetes so far, however, 8 years ago during my last pregnancy, I did develop Gestational Diabetes with our daughter but thankfully it went away shortly after her birth. I look forward to learning more from your channel! Have a beautiful rest of your day! :-)
  • @Aky2_is_cool
My parents and sister had diabetes...the skin conditions mentioned manifested to them before they passed...my sister even had her right leg amputated due to a wound in her big toe that got infected that led to her amputation. Diabetes runs in my family from both sides (mom and dad)... thats why im very much careful with carb and sugar intake...

Skin tags, Acanthosis Nigricans, and weight gain is what Iโ€™ve been dealing with for a long time. Going to my doc asap!
  • I learned quite a bit about Diabetes. Iโ€™m type 2 diabetic. One of the pictures you showed of blister type, red raised bumps I have on my left lower leg. It is either hot or cold but it stays red. Thank you for letting me know exactly what it is. Very informative video for diabetic neuropathy
  • Thank you very informative. I didnโ€™t know what was going on with my skin because Iโ€™m 63 and it had always been so smooth soft and silky. I had really begun to become depressed about it. Thank you again. Understanding what it may be really helps.
  • @ritatharp5238

My father was diabetic and in a nursing home when he developed a lesion on his foot. It was exactly as you described. In a brief period of time, he needed his foot amputated. After the surgery, I found out they went all the way above the knee for the amputation. He was wheel-chair bound before and would not have been able to check for sores himself. Make sure your loved ones are being checked frequently when they can not do it themselves.
