The main difference between Rheem and AO Smith Water Softener is the warranty period.

AO Smith offers a 10-year warranty on the main control valve, brine cabinet, and media tank. In addition, depending on the model of water softener you choose, you get a 3-5 years warranty on the electronic and mechanical parts.

On the other hand, Rheem softeners only come with a 3-year warranty, which can be upgraded to 5 years on mechanical parts and 10 years on media tanks, on condition that you use Rheem cleaner. However, the warranty for electronic parts remains at 3 years. AO Smith has a more extended warranty period.

That is not an AO Smith water softener. The salt capacity is quite large for the AO Smith 300T and 400T home softeners

Interesting take. Many of these points seem opposite of the research I’ve seen. AO is a touch more expensive but has a wide range of softeners sold in stores whereas Rheem only has one size available in stock. AO is also more advanced in their technology and Rheem seems more basic and less feature heavy.

That not an AO SMITH Water Softener system, what you show in your video. That an AO SMITH Water filtration system.
