For air travel- two uses for small stuff sacks (or even a plastic bag will do). 1. When going through TSA, I put all my pocket stuff (cell phone, keys, wallet, ear buds, etc.) into a bag so they are all together through the x-ray machine, then I can find them all as soon as I get through. 2. Stuff sack with a caribiner to keep my essentials with me at the seat, my backpack can go overhead or under the seat in front but the sack has the things I might want to get to even when you're not supposed to have your bags out (battery pack, headphones, water bottle, small snacks...)
  • My travel hack: laundry detergent sheets (not dryer sheets…) have become hugely popular and affordable in the last fews years. Take a few full sheets with you and you’ll always have peace of mind knowing you can use an Airbnb’s/laundromat’s washing machine or can hand wash your stuff in a sink. The best part is the sheets can be easily torn into your desired size. They also weigh almost nothing and you don’t have to deal with messy liquid detergent ever again!

My favorite travel hack. A cheap IKEA 3 outlet power strip. Not for a heavy load but great to move all your chargers to one spot.

Can confirm, my grandpa parked his Prius (he doesn’t have a garage so no worries there) one day and when he went to drive it THREE DAYS later, he found that it was still running!

I'm a traveling carpenter and I drive. Non alcoholic mouthwash, spray deodorant, and a full tank of gas. As long as you're clean you can be homeless until you make it to your hotel. Pretend to shop in large stores, sleep in parking lots and rest stops. Go to a grocery store and eat food that doesn't need to be cooked like vegetables cheese fruit and nuts, it's cheaper than eating out

My travel tip, not just the standard use packing cubes, but a variation. If you're going to be traveling to multiple destinations dont pack t-shirts in one cube, socks in another etc. Pack whole outfits for 2-3 days into a single cube depending on itinerary. E.g. 1 pair shorts, 2 t-shirts, 2 underwear, etc. You then dont need to unpack a whole suitcase just a cube at a time, plus when you've worn the outfit you can put the dirty stuff back into the cube.

Travel TIP: Keep a color copy of your U.S. passport ID page (name, photo, passport number, etc) in your luggage and in your wallet/purse. If you lose your actual passport (or it gets stolen), having a copy of it can expedite the process of identification AND getting a replacement while in a foreign country.

I love grilled cheese. I'm disabled and am often fatigued so grilled cheese is one of the things I can make even when struggling. :)

The rolling T-Shirts is something I've done since the 90s when I was in the Army. Great space saving trick.
  • Pick-off power cords (a through-plug plus a hanging plug) are just fantastic. They preserve a plug, are stackable, and allow wall warts where they would otherwise be physically unusable. An electroluminescent night light. Red is best, green is most common. Put one in the bathroom. Lastly, about 50 feet of 250 pound paracord. It's compact and you can use it for so many things. Not least of which is hanging your cloths to dry. At this point, unless forced to do otherwise, I'm a terminal one-bagger.

My travel pro tips: • Bring an external battery • Bring some toothpicks • A book for take off and landing • A small backpack to store glasses, phones, passport, sunscreen, external battery etc when sightseeing or hiking. And I find pretty useful the KonMari fold.
  • So glad for an apron question! I got the plans a few months ago and I've been planning to make it for my first sewing project.
  • @todun83
A nice leafy green, wait ! Disappears brings in ladder. Thats why this channel is perfection.
  • @Eric_Fate
Totally agree on the shirt rolling. Learned the value of it while touring and during merch sales for bands. You get so much extra space by doing it!
  • @MaxFleye
Travels with a tin of salt... Just like Samwise Gamgee 🙂🙂
  • @bigsarge2085
Maybe a velcro color that matches the color of the leather on the apron.
  • @Xen10k
For the Velcro color, I would suggest hazard yellow. Should go with the apron and is thematic as well
  • @JoeJaJoeJoe
I use a compression sack for clothing when I travel, they reduce the volume by 1/3 to 1/2. It does leave your clothes wrinkly but I'm an unkempt goblin who doesn't care
  • @ShepherdsCreek
I JUST found out you have a YouTube channel and omg am I happy about it! I was a massive fan of Mythbusters and I always thought you and all the other Mythbusters must be a ton of fun to hang out with!
