I heard Rita being interviewed about her marriage to Kris. She said she had to finally take her daughter and leave because of all the women he had on the road. It was a situation where she had to save herself from an unfaithful spouse. She said she would always love him but she had to leave for self preservation!

This is one of the songs I heard in 1972 that made me want to find someone to help me make it through the night.. 50 years later I'm still waiting. Classic songs never disappear.

When he sang to her, he was at his best.😁😉 This is as sensual as the big dance in “Dirty Dancing.” I would bet he wrote this for her. It truly belongs to THEM!

I was lucky to see Kris and Rita headline an all day Country Bluegrass Festival in October 1973, when they came on stage that night they were backlit by a huge golden Harvest Moon, it was incredible and yes their love just oozed all over, fantastic day and night. They don’t have shows like that now. $10.00 tickets and I got tipsy on the tequila some people bought and went skinny dipping in the lake, very early 70’s.❤❤❤❤

Wow Amazing. She's beautiful here, and what a voice. And he wrote one absolutely beautiful song. They were great together here. Looked like they were in love when performing together.
