One recommendation is to make noise when she is sleeping, run the vacuum, have the TV on etc., so that she gets use to noises and can still sleep. This is a game changer I promise! She’ll be able to sleep anywhere and through any thing ❀

What a blessing! Dear heavenly father, please lay your hands on Taylor, Soph, and Mary-Mahryn. I wish y’all love, peace, and joy for many many years to come. Welcome to this beautiful world sweetheart. God bless you all

    “She doesn’t stink, she’s a princess “ so cute!

I love how supportive and hands on Taylor is being with the baby and Soph. He’s not leaving all the baby responsibilities on Soph. You guys have such a strong relationship it truly shows❀. God bless you both and the baby with an abundance of health!

All I can think about is the video of him trying to look like her in the womb. Now look! She looks so much like him.😅 So beautiful❀
  • We just welcomed home our 7th child. It NEVER gets old. It's truly a special moment every time. Congratulations!

She's precious! ❀ Speaking from experience, get her used to noise. Vacuum, have the tv on , talk to each other. She'll be able to go to sleep anywhere and you won't have to tip toe around when she's napping .

My son was jaundice in the hospital & I was told to put him by the window so he could get some sunlight. He was born in the winter, so it was to cold to go outside and that’s what cured it.. She’s such a beautiful lil angel! 🙏 ❀

What a beautiful name! Also infants produce red blood cells VERY quickly but because their liver is not that developed yet, they can’t process the bilirubin at the same rate so it builds up and causes jaundice - this is normal! In fact it’s called physiologic jaundice of newborn and is expected to show up around days 2/3 of life. Phototherapy is a treatment option that allows light in the blue-green spectrum (wavelengths 430-490nm
so NOT UV light) to be absorbed and change the bilirubin into what the baby CAN process! Also, her poops will likely start to stink once she eats something not milk (eg, purĂ©e foods) as the bacteria in her gut will be getting established now and will be put to work with new foods and the result will be smellier poops. But for now they should be okay! Part princess but also part diet related too! What a blessed baby! Y’all are fantastic parents already. 💜

A piece of advice I learned as a first time parent, DONT TIPTOE AROUND THEM WHEN THEY SLEEP. You’ll create a light sleeper who will wake up at the sound of a pin drop! I didn’t with my daughter and she sleeps like a rock❀❀❀ congrats mama and dada! She’s beautiful!!❀

Your baby Mary Mahryn is a doll. Congratulations to you both.đŸ©·
  • She is so beautiful! Can’t wait to see what God has in store for y’all’s futuređŸ€

You should have a pediatric dentist check to see if she is tongue tied. A lot of pediatricians overlook it and it could affect how she breastfeeds! Wish I knew this sooner!
  • It's awesome that you guys are being real about the things that are trickier than expected! But also you seem to be handling it well and have a good understanding that it's temporary. Fingers crossed she does great on Tuesday!

She’s so cute and adorable!! Well done Momma!! Proud of you all so much xx
  • @kturby5489
She’s a darling! Sweet Sophia, please be kind and take it easy on yourself. You’re a first-time mama and your body is going to go through sooo many changes in a short amount of time. Postpartum depression is real and it’s scary but it’s nothing to be ashamed of, IF it happens. Baby blues are real too and it can be confusing to decipher between the two at times. Never hesitate to speak to your healthcare providers if you have ANY concerns. Even if they seem small or minute. And to the wonderful support system around you: please don’t feel bad if you see signs of postpartum depression and have the natural urge to “overlook” them
as the people who love and know Sophia intimately, you’re her team! Speak up, offer to help her and while you’re doting over this new beautiful life, don’t forget that mama’s need extra love and doting now too. God bless you all and that precious blessing ❀
