His father died in a shooting so he perfectly knows what losing someone dear in this way means. He deeply feels every word he said.

His message clearly hit me and has my eyes feeling watery and damn it that someone’s child being killed at school where it supposed to be safe, but officers have been cowards and it’s true

For a man that lost a family member to gun violence all those years ago, You can see and feel that Steve Kerr’s comments definitely hit close to home.

In the 90s, he was the most accurate 3 point shooter, in the 2010s, he led warriors strongly and he becomes voice leader of US. He is my real legend. - NBA fan in Korea-
  • He has a heart, he feels the pain of these families. I have been crying like crazy thinking about these moms, dad’s siblings. The pain is so unbearable, can someone please do some thing to stop gun violence??😭
  • This felt real enough. Respect for Steve Kerr. The people who can change something should stand up for this.

Man I respect Steve Kerr. He’s gotta be one of the only basketball related people to actually talk about this head on, and you can hear every ounce of frustration, sadness, and pain in his voice. And he’s completely right to top it all off. Again, mad respect to Steve Kerr.
