In this video I show you guys how I make my tonneau covers for my trucks. I like wood because it looks rustic. It matches the old Squarebody trucks and they are really easy to make.

2 sheets of 1/2 inch plywood
14 ft - 1x1 1/8 angle iron

  • You could use hood pins instead of wing nuts for quick removal or lower profile
  • You could put a piano hinge in the middle and let the back piece raise up.

    Was looking for something like this! All the truck bed covers seem to be for modern trucks....and some of those are pricey!

    Great idea. How about adding piano hinges for functionality and some type of rain guard tarp to keep water out. Not th mention I have a tool box

    The cheapest quote I get around here for tack welding the six bolts is $65.

    you could probably use hitch pin clips instead of wing nuts
