  • That silhouette of Tom Landry is as iconic as that of Abe Lincoln or Geo Washington on our coinage.

I grew up in Dallas...I remember the first Super Bowl that I watched...SB V...I was 8 years old...I cried my eyes out...but a year later, I was filled with joy after SB VI...When I retired from the Air Force after 27 years in 2009, my commander asked me who had been my hero (he was looking for someone that inspired me for his speech)...I told him Roger Staubach...because he never gave up...(BTW, my commander was a Steelers fan)...But he included a great quote from Roger in his speech for me..."Confidence doesn't come out of nowhere. It's a result of something... hours and days and weeks and years of constant work and dedication" ...It was a perfect quote for my career...
  • A kid from NYC is a Dallas cowboys fan…. America’s team 🌟
  • @Lemur1610
I wanna see Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, Danny White, Tony Romo, & Dak Prescott talk about their times with the Cowboys
  • @donny357tx

Even as a Washington fan, this was awesome to watch. That Tom Landry commercial when Skins players surround him is so badass🤣
  • @bismoglungis
Still can't get over the intro sequence and formula, it's so memorable

How do I know that The Cowboys have the best nickname? Because everybody else wants it.
  • @3243_
How ironic that in the late '70s, it was the other pro football team in Texas that had an actual cowboy coaching them.
  • @Hillers62
BTW...The star on the helmet was there because originally there to be called the Dallas Rangers (the star representing a badge)...but when it was found that there was already a minor league baseball team with that name, they changed it to Cowboys...and then the star represented the Lone Star of Texas...

17:31 an icon scene NFL films been using this image for decades nobody knows who this guy is but he is legendary
  • John Facenda would say that same line about "giving him a horse he can ride" to Steve Sabol when the younger Sabol would write something really good to use.
  • @cooperwolfe5478
The fact the the highlight film that dubbed the Cowboys “America’s Team” was highlighting a season in which the Cowboys didn’t even win the Super Bowl is one of the many reasons why I became a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
  • We will always be America's Team! 💯💯💯💯💯💯🤣🤣🤣🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👀

  • @bucksolo703
Every team and fan that hated the name was just jealous because we could talk the talk and walk the walk
  • This is a tear jerker. Was not expecting to get so doggone emotional...
  • @jameslisle7775
Jackie Smith makes that catch the Cowboys are “Super Bowl Champs” and not “America’s Team”. Guy should be a hero in Dallas. He got them the nickname.
