โWhat did I do? I donโt even like squashโ - I feel you Robbie! I decided Iโm not doing the veggies anymore. I just donโt have the space and the bug pressure on them is just too much. I also am not a fan of spiders, they freak me out. As long as they arenโt near my house or in my plants, I donโt mind them. The garden clean-up was so satisfyingโฆ blank slate for new things!

Robbie you really need some gardening gloves so you can pull things without the mini heart attack each time you touch a bug or spiderweb

Robbie I feel you. I just canโt get into growing vegetables. I have a fig tree. And I had a lemon tree but that died in a freeze. So that was that. As challenging as ornamentals are, veggies are a whole world of work I admit Iโm not up for. My hatโs off to the veggie gardeners!

I'm with you on the veggie garden! This year was a bust for me, and I already started pulling mine out to get ready for a fall garden. I love seeing more of Brent helping you! My favorite thing about your channel is that I get the perspective of someone in a completely different growing zone. It's interesting to me to see what things happen at different times of year, and what's exactly the same. This year in my garden, the spiders have been sentinels and I've had very little other pest pressure because of it. I also have Daddy Longlegs which are great because they don't spin webs.

While I love to eat vegetables, I have accepted that I donโt enjoy growing them. When something in your garden doesnโt bring you joy, itโs time to replace it with something that will. I look forward to seeing your cut flower garden return in this area.

We have bad spiders too- wear gloves- spray water also Spiders mites live dry flowers too!
