By the way that art piece you showed for the first inquisitor was actually Obiwan Sherlock Clouseau in the original rogue trader entry. It's very much canon XD
-
Fun fact: fyodor karamozov is a very deep cut reference to the brothers karamazov written by fyodor dostoyevsky, specifically a section of the book where Ivan tells the story of the grand inquisitor. Pretty cool little literary reference by GW
-
"Except for E i s e n h o r n, they've all decided to do terrible things with their power." Cherubael: Am I a joke to you
-
The Inquisition is absolutely one of the three armies that if GW made it into a full faction I’d build an army immediately. The other two are Dark Mechanicum and Exodite Eldar.
-
I've got a feeling that the picture of Inquisitor Agustus is from a recast figure. There are pictures of that mini where the sculpt looks so much better.
-
What about the 54mm inquisitors? Would love to see you go through that old range.
-
Cawboy Inquisitor as you call him is actually Gideon Lorr - Limited eddition miniature wich has their own rules in 304 WD magazine.
-
Shame you missed the Inquisitor models from the Inquisitor game. There were a few interesting sculpts back then. You did say EVERY Inquisitor after all. :p I'd like to see old man Eisenhorn, Covenant and Tyrus make their way to 28mm scale one day .
-
I love it when you cover old models (especially when you find a way to bring them into your current army), but even more so when you go through the range as well. As a RT - 2nd ed player I enjoy seeing the old guard getting recognition, and then I get familiarised with the range to date ✨
-
I'd really love to see an inquisitorial kill team - I was hoping for that when they revealed the next box
-
wish we had a true Army of Inquisitors :D in the old day they where in the Demonhunters codex and Witch Hunter Codex, they are now the Gray knights and Sisters of battle. and inquisitors are not in any codex but in one of the narrative play books.
-
The out of scale Inquisitor Game Inquisitors were really cool, and the Eisenhorn model had a bit more movement to him than the 28mm one, but they look pretty similar.
-
Anyway, my favorites are Bolter and Sword from the Daemon Hunter era, with that very John Blanche-style shoulder fur cloak, and good old Goatee Terminator with the Power Fist and Bionic Leg. But somewhere between the two of them was the wild ride that was 54mm Inquisitor: bald old Eisenhorn (a million times cooler than his 28mm version, with rad cane sword), Bishounen Covenant, and poster boy Tyrus who absolutely needs a 40k version. Or we can just wait until scale creep makes 54mm the standard.
-
I like that karamazov's dreadnought will leave inquisitor symbols in the mud wherever it goes, to show that the inquisition was here
-
Karamasow makes an imposing leader, centerpiece and damage dealer without being a primarch, which is nice. I would have gotten an 9th edition Inquisitorial army if they'd made acolytes a troop choice. But alas, the army will live on in my dreams, like my 16 assassins list...
-
The three arm day ones were originally only equipped with carapace armour, 4+ save, so I guess they made it look like that on purpose
-
Love these kinds of videos, always nice to see the old classics! 😃
-
I have a fun Sisters of Battle list that uses Arco-Flagellants and Penitent Engines led by Karamazov. I've been thinking of replacing the standard Battle Sisters in the list with melee Novitiates.
-
There was also Inquisitor Silas Hand from the Daemonifuge comic series sculpted in 28mm as a limited collectible set alongside Ephrael Stern. Not sure if they did any of the other Inquisitors that were in the Warhammer Monthly comics though.
-
Coteaz is one of my favourites, loved that era of inquisitor/daemon hunters. Some of the retinue models are so bizarre, I would love to see a piece on them with your opinions.
