Welcome to the Tactical Tavern my name is Tomas Alas and in this video we are reviewing the brand new and exclusive Boker Alluvial designed by Justin Lundquist!

You read that right this is a knife EXCLUSIVE to Blade HQ! You can not find it anywhere else. It's classy, it's elegant, and it's a versatile piece of EDC gear you can dress up or down depending on the occasion!

Since this is a Boker Auto I believe it competes right up there with the Kalashnikov knife however I think this adds a much more stylish version to the mix! It also is a good starter auto compared to the Pro-Tech Godfather and Bastinelli x Microtech Brachial autos. ‪@MicrotechKnivesOfficial‬

In this review we are going to take a look at the features that it offers in order to see if it's right for your everyday carry, outdoor adventure, or next tactical mission!

Sounds good. Looks good. I will stick with my Boker Kalashnikov automatic. Never fails me.
  • You got it quick dude! Just dropped yesterday. I'm guessing you have an arrangement with blade HQ? Thanks for the look. I've got more to go by now before a purchase. 👍🗡️👊

I'd say the blade shape remind me of the Williams/CRKT Traditional tanto blade shape same size as my old heiho assist open. Cool lil knife I'll try to get one into the 🇬🇧

I've always wanted a push button auto I think I finally found one I like 🔥🔥
  • I don’t need this….but I will get this. Love a good Boker!

Speaking of Blade HQ, you going to have any more guest vids with them?
  • Very nice review! Autos will be legal here in Pennsylvania in 2023 so I'm in the market for an OTF. Thinking about Axial Shift or Daggerr. If you could review some of those, that would be awesome!
  • Nice knife. Hardly a drop point, modified clip maybe. The point is too in line with the spine to be a drop point.

BE CAREFUL WITH THIS ONE! I have always preferred automatic knives. For the last 5 or so years I have carried a cheap ganzo automatic and it has always suited me well. Recently I saw the boker lundquist and figured it was time to upgrade. The quality is decent but did a need a little cleaning and lubrication to make it smooth. However today at work I am carrying my lundquist in my pocket and reach in to grab my work phone when I feel a bite. A moment of realization later and I know the tip of the blade is about 5mm deep in the tip of my thumb. The knife however was still closed. This cut is probably deep enough that stitches would be a good idea but I just went ahead and super glued it as it is a very clean cut, just deep. What can happen is the blade can come out a small bit but still remained locked. The gap between the scales/sides is wide enough to wedge a lot of a finger in. (you can actually see this in the video at 1:36 right after he says 75% press and rotates the knife a bit. If its fully closed this can still happen just not as likely or as likely to get as bad of a cut. The other issue is that its a blade up carry with the pocket clip and is not reversible. I do however really like this design and I will still use the knife but it wont be my EDC for a while. I think I might change the blade tip profile to be more of a drop point instead of a normal straight. That should remedy this from happening again. Quality wise though its decent. Its where id expect a $70 knife to be. I don't know if I would recommend this knife to everyone though. I would recommend it if I can warn people about the major flaw and only to people who can change the blade profile. The scales and their texture are incredible though. I like smoother grips so seeing a boker without that awful "Kalashnikov" of "Strike" grip is what sold me. I use my knives multiple times a day opening small retail packages (plastic) or regular cardboard boxes. So having a smooth grip that doesn't get caught on everything in my pocket is nice. It looks pretty rough in the video but its pretty smooth in actual use. The pocket clip is REALLY nice though. For me being right handed. I do wish it was reversible to make it blade down but I still like it a lot, Its the right size and has the right amount of tension/bend to not be too hard to pull out or too light that it will fall out easily. I also bought a kershaw launch 4 at the same time as this boker and that is probably going to be my EDC for a while. However that knife also has a flaw. I picked up the black one with black blade (7500BLK). The coating on the blade is the main issue. It causes a lot of friction when new. I know this will wear down with time but out of the box having a sharp but grippy blade is weird.

I love this knife… EXCEPT for the wrinkled texture. It looks cheap. If it had a plain matte finish I’d be into it. I like JL designs, I like ots autos, I hope they do a future run without the wrinkle.
