Thank god someone finally did a parallel park video in a realistic space! All of the other videos have spaces you could park a bus in.
  • @spretten
I've never heard anyone explain it like this before! The 0 - 45 - 90 degree and watching the face of the car behind etc. Amazing

Passed 3 months ago and had no issues with parallel parking until I’d actually passed.. I live on a main road and always need to fit in gaps like this while traffic waits for me at rush hour. It’s a-lot different from doing it on an empty street like I did on my driving lessons and I feel the added pressure. Hopefully It’ll come easier with practice! Thanks for the video! Very helpful
  • Thank you from Melbourne. I passed my drive test, bought a car but not confident to reverse park and drive in freeways. All your videos are very helpful.

Its like you heard me complaining about tight space parking the other day😂 thanks for this video

i have a driver license since i was 16y old (the government had to let me pass driver license test and give me license at young age because the school of auto mechanics i finished required driving license to issue the certificate), i passed the tests and got my driver license without a problem back then, but i had no chance to drive a car up until recently when i bough a new car... but since i am 36y old now and more aware and more careful and overthinking way more than i was at young age, i had tons of fear about driving now... luckily i found your channel and watched almost all of your videos and easily started driving again without any problem using your techniques and tricks. and i am from Macedonia where we drive on the right side, but again your videos were really helpful :) thanks for the great content and for sharing your knowledge and techniques with us all, keep up the great work and best wishes.

Thank you for this video. I’ve only had my licence for 6 months and I felt embarrassed just now when I had to shuffle back and forth a lot to get into a tight spot. Now I will remember your advice and not worry about shuffling when it’s needed 😀

I'm learning with my instructor and watching many YouTube videos about parallel parking so I can tell this has been the most detailed, insightful explanation I've ever watched. Thanks so much!

3:12 - An alternative is to do what Gru does in Despicable Me, and simply ram the other cars out of the way. Very effective at increasing wiggle room, but your insurance might go up and your neighbours may slightly hate you for it. Also, could you make a video on merge in turns? I find it difficult to judge whether to slow down or speed up, or tell what other drivers are doing/want me to do.

You've always got the best parking guides. This and the reverse bay parking one are both so much thorough than the usual methods.

It's like you read my mind! Finally an informative video of parking in tight spaces which is the reality in London and something I have no confidence in. Will try this for sure. You are a gem Richard appreciate the detailed help you always give out on your channel.

I did my first reverse parallel park today in a spot roughly 2 car lengths and unluckily the spot I was getting into, was inclined towards the curb. So gravity made it a little harder for me but eventually, the tips I learned from your videos helped me! Thank you!
  • @rizzo1980
Thanks for this. Not needed to parallel park for majority of my 20 years driving and now have to do it daily. This video is perfect refresher
