This is day 2 of the Lyke Wake Walk, we start back at the Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge and head North on to the Route, After a stretch along the road we turned right and headed across the Moors cutting the corner to save our legs. After roughly 1km we turned right off the moors and back onto another road where we pass White cross Boundary stone and another boundary stone at the t junction that looks like a person. Shortly after we turn left Back onto the moors at the Lyke Wake walk stone. On this section of the moors we pass Loose Howe and its trig point, The Blue Man-I-th-Moss standing stone, Wheeldale Howe and Raven Stones before reaching Wheeldale road where we cross and Carry on straight. After the road we drop down towards Wheeldale beck and cross at the Stepping stones, after the beck we headed back up the valley towards Howl Moor and then onto Simon Howe and standing stones. After Simon Howe we carry straight on again and head towards RAF Fylingdales Ballistic Missile early warning station which can be seen in the distance, after about 3km we find ourselves at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway where we were lucky enough to spot a train before crossing the track and heading through Fen Bog and up to the A169 and Eller Beck Bridge. At the bridge we turned right and head across the moors keeping RAF Fylingdales on our right. Leaving RAF Fylingdales behind us we then headed for Lilla Cross that we can be seen onto of the hill in the distance. Once we arrived at Lilla cross we then carried straight on and headed towards the Mast/Beacon at Ravenscar that can be seen in the far distance. After Lilla cross we make our way across the moors passing Burn Howe and eventually dropping down into the valley to cross Jugger Howe Beck, after the Beck we climbed up the side of Jugger Howes then down off the other side where we met the A171. After crossing the road we headed towards Cook House then turned right up onto Howl Dale moor where eventually we reached the Trig Point at Ravenscar then the Mast/Beacon and of course the Lyke Wake Walk end stone. The walk is roughly 42 miles and crosses the North Yorkshire Moors at its widest point.

One crossing we stayed at Westerdale YHA and Wheeldale YHA both now private houses. We also passed to the south of Fylingdales. We finish at the Ravescar Hotel. Things have changed.

Good info for the marshes, I still suffer nightmares from losing the trail on one in Wales! Good video 👍
