I just want to say HELLO to all of my fellow 🎨brothers and sisters on here that watch painting videos and fall asleep! Then awake in the wee hours to our phones still playing art videos 😂🎉 Good morning and feels good to know I'm not alone 😂
-
I'm trying to wrap my mind around how someone could dislike these videos - a professional artist sharing his talent and skills with the world for free? I just don't get it.
-
I fell asleep last night with youtube on (nilered) and ended up here idk how but i dont mind i’ve already watched 3 hours of this asleep but i’ll watch the rest when awake

I've painted portraits, landscapes, and still life pictures. Oils, watercolors, and acrylic. I like each medium for its different look. it keeps me from getting board. I keep areas in my studio set up for each medium. I have different easels and tables with with multi level stands holding the materials I'll needs for each one. I have my favorite brushes and pallet knives for each medium ready to reach for at each different set up. I love painting children in watercolors but my favorite picture of a local native village is also done in watercolor. I love painting horses with oils. I'm old enough I started painting with turpentine and linseed oil for my oils. I've changed that mix as new products became available. lol. I'm nearly 77 now. I like to see what, and how, others are painting their art. I also enjoyed water missable oils but mostly I stick to more traditional materials. I draw well with several mediums but I definetly suck with pastells. Enjoying your chatter. In my teens I love riding my motorcycles. That's a great way too see the countryside. But those days are far in the past.

At 1:12:27....if you want to oil paint toxic free .. Use- Gamblins solvent free gel or Gamblins solvent free liquid as a medium.. Gamblin also has a oil paint to replace the lead white...forgot name To clean bristle brushes (water is not good for Ivory/hog bristle) use Turpinoid Natural..(non toxic, non flammable) To clean synthetic brushes- Masterson soap... Remember- oil paint is linseed/safflower oils...not toxic There are now oil paints that are non toxic replacement for the Cadmiums as well.... Don't fall into the misconceptions that oil paints are toxic...people are allergic...breathing problems and such....again oil paint is a mixture of it's natural pigment and linseed or safflower oil...

I'm enjoying this project and the teaching. My son draws very good detailed pictures...Right side with the right hand and left side with the left hand. You can't even tell which hand was used where.

Hey Yupari, thanks for yr video I learnt a lot and I am just starting to learn digital painting and I am finding that learning the real techniques is helping me to understand the whole overall process. I quick thing I learnt, for example, is I didn't realize just how much building up of the base layers was needed and how important that is for adding depth to the painting as a whole. so thanks for yr expert help. Cheers Kev
