The title is of course in reference to Chips Dubbo, what else did you think I was talking about?
-
Obviously the most intelligent species in the Halo universe is the sniper jackal as it knows that beam rifles are the best weapon ever created.
-
It’s a funny contrast seeing you go from being pushed to your near breaking point talking about the Halo tv show to this video where you exude joy by talking about actual Halo lore.
-
Talks to little doggy on the street “What’s your name little guy?” Doggy: “I am a monument to all your sinssss.”
-
A halo prequel taking place during the human forerunner war would be absolutely nuts. The possibility of lore expansion on the precursors is a pure untapped well
-
The most human thing in Halo: “A mysterious alien powder? Lol, feed it to the dogs and see what happens.”
-
i love that most of the concept art for the precursors resemble crabs.

12:46 I think that my favourite description of the Forerunner - Precursor War came from Late Night Gaming describing the Precursor perspective as "We're being driven to extinction, this is like interesting." in a lore podcast a few years ago.
-
The lore behind the different species and the tiers they were in always fascinates me. The Brutes especially for going from tier 4 to tier 7 thanks to nuking themselves that hard. But they became tier 2 thanks to the Covenant, and still are if we take the Banished into consideration. The rise and fall and resurrection of Brute society and technology.
-
Bonus points for the old school runescape music
-
Job Interviewer: "How would you best describe yourself?" Precursor: mutters incomprehensibly
-
I'm pretty sure jackal snipers are omnipotent gods, they always seem to know what you're going to do.
-
The Precursors didn't create the Flood. The Precursors ARE the Flood..
-
The precursors where modeled after the concept of consciousness. If you study the science of consciousness you start to re hear this.

I want hiddenxperia as chief in season 3. This channel is great, it really got me back into halo and has been a place of comfort over the past months. Thanks for everything

I don’t think I could ever get tired of Halo. So much lore and depth to the universe and just such great world building.
-
the thing you said with Tier 7 species is canon “While many sentient species were ultimately indexed and reintroduced, many of them did not reach Tier 7 of the Technological Achievement Tiers after the firing of the Halo array, where only a handful were encountered by Humanity in the Orion Arm of the galaxy, and not every species that were in the Covenant were cataloged by the United Nations Space Command, with even the Covenant client species keeping few records of their affairs with them.[2]”

Somewhat unrelated to this video but I'm so happy we got new pictures of the greater ark it's one of my favorite things from the Forerunner books

Personally after reading Halo: Outcasts, where we saw ruins of a civilization that was rapidly advanced by Precursors hiding from the Forerunners, and that back in the Forerunners age, the CRITERIUM came to Netherop to investigate is very interesting considering we hear of the Criterium in being involved in the Endless imprisonment heavily implies that the Netherop civilization and Xalanyn civilization are similar. How? I think they were both evolutionarily manipulated by Precursors. The Harbinger literally has the Reclaimer Symbol on her helmet and back armor! I believe that the Xalanyn are a new type of Reclaimer manipulated into this role by the Precursors. Even the physical form of the Xalanyn and Gasgira (Skimmers) has similarities to the Primordial itself! As the Primordial was described as having “mandible on their face, and two degenerative legs” so how do 2 separate species end up with the same physical traits? I think the Endless is a faction of several species that have been spliced with Precursor DNA. Like the Flood but much more “pure” This is why the Forerunners were terrified of them. If they let the Endless become holders of the Mantle, they could potentially infect all other species with Precursor Genetics, completely destroying the Forerunners efforts of freeing the Galaxy of them. So yeah, TL’DR: I believe the Xalanyn are new Reclaimers groomed by Precursors to take the Mantle from the Forerunners and spliced their Transsentient DNA into them. The Xalanyn did the same to other species, (Gasgira) forming the Endless faction.

"Today a not-so-ancient intelligence" Recall that Halo 2 came out just a few months shy of 20 years ago and try to not feel a little ancient.
