My only bit of advice to add is buy a vest that allows changes in wgt. Waste of money to buy a 10-12lb vest and know you can handle more wgt a couple months later. I bought a very well made and comfortable 35lb vest and unloaded 16 lbs to start and added 2 lbs every couple of months. That allowed my hips, etc to slowly adapt. No injuries, no need to buy another vest.

I do wear a weighted from the same company you wear. I love mine. It is specifically a 'woman's" vest as it allows for the bust area to be free of weights. The vest also zips and is adjustable and is very supportive. It makes a nice "big" difference.

  • Thanks for Video! I’ve been wanting to up my walking. Ordered fifteen pound vest. Wish me luck! 😎
  • My doctor recommended I wear a weighted vest, even to do chores around the house. I have osteoporosis and he said research shows it helps with that. Thanks for doing this video. It is a good reminder to me, to go ahead and do it!!

I have the same vest as you, but only have 10lbs. It does feel like protective armor when zipped up 🤩 It definitely takes walking to the next level!
  • I just ordered one today! I walk about 5 miles a day and im excited to try the vest!

I just got my weighted vest last Sunday. I ordered a 12 lb. One from Amazon. I have worn it everyday since getting it. I love it. I do believe that soon I will go up in weight. 18 or 20. I haven't worn it long enough to reap the benefits but I am sure it will be beneficial to me. I have osteopenia and am 72. Have worked out all my life. Weight training, running , walking, yoga. You name it. Will let you know how it goes. Loves your video. First time I watched you.
  • I couldn’t agree more with everything u said I love my best I also take smaller steps so my posture is better and in line. I use 8lbs it’s perfect

Yes! I have a 12 lb. Vest the same style as your first one. I love it and use it on the treadmill every day. I would love to upgrade to the one you have now with adjustable weights!
  • I just started w a 20lb vest & it’s strengthening my back. I broke mine in a car accident 33 years ago & since ive been wearing mine 3x per week i have less back pain. I also use 5 lb ankle weights

Older ruckers should beware of the potental of disc compression issues. Might want to discuss this with your chiro before using one.
  • I have a 20lb vest for all day wear and a 30lb vest for shorter times but more intense workout I work from a desk at my full time so I don’t get as much walking in as my part time so I use it to help more burn more calories
