I don’t think people understood how young Jared Goff was at the time he lost the Super Bowl. The guy was still only 24 and had just finished his 3rd season at that point but the Rams were in a period where they couldn’t afford to develop an inexperienced QB when they had an otherwise contending caliber roster. Jared has a much better understanding of the game now than he did back then, and this current high-powered Lions offense has been crafted through the mind of both him and Ben Johnson. This Lions version of Goff is the best version of Goff.

I’m happy for Goff and the Lions. I hate seeing QBs get thrown in the trash.

Ford Field chanting Goff's name gave me chills! I'm a lifelong Lions fan and Stafford is one of my favorite QBs of all time. I love what he did for us, and his Super Bowl win was also a win for Detroit. On to Goff, he's been nothing but amazing and is our QB of the future. Love both Stafford and Goff though.

It’s crazy how many times in his career that JG has been thrown into truly tough situations, only to come out on top again. I hope him and Detroit have many more years of success together. They’ve earned it.

1 thing not mentioned is when the Rams were playing N O on the Saints sidelines was a coach named Campbell who watched a warrior on the other side. And never forgot. Also in the Rams coaching part was a individual who watched and then got hired as a G M. Both guys KNEW what we are all finding out now. Thank you B Holmes and of course MC DC.
  • Goff got done so dirty by the Rams, and specifically Sean McVay... Goff lost in the SB to the greatest dynasty in NFL history without Cooper Kupp (who was injured), and Todd Gurley getting hurt early in the game. Stafford had Kupp, OBJ, Von Miller, Jalen Ramsey, and Cam Akers for his superbowl win over a much less playoff experienced team. McVay was constantly tearing Goff down and blaming him for everything, destroying his confidence, and then totally blindsided him with the trade. Since then, Goff has been better than Stafford in every way, has improved his game drastically in Detroit, and is likely to be a threat in the playoffs for years to come. The fact that anyone still thinks McVay carried Goff after everything that has come out is laughable. I hope Goff and the Lions ruin the Rams season year after year for many years to come.

I always had a feeling Goff had more in the tank than we thought

Great video on Goff! As a diehard lions fan of 30+ years, we are more than happy to have him! :)

Jared Goff never fell. Rams management quit on him after playoff loss, despite an injured thumb on his throwing hand. Besides his rookie season, he has been one of the most consistent QBs in the league with a career average 95 ratings.
  • Nailed it! Goff viewed Mcvay as a savior, a man with all the answers and that helped his short term development but hindered his growth. Campbell threw Jared in the deep end and forced him to sink or swim, which is exactly what needed to happen. Sean should have handled the situation better but trading Goff was the right choice. Jared needed a strong, father figure HC and Sean needed a QB he saw as a peer.

Thanks for this video! I learned a lot about Goff from this. Well done

The trade was actually- Stafford for multiple high draft picks and McVay threw in Goff. Mcvay needs to be thanked by all Lions fans as he built the lions foundation. Mcvay has ensured that the lions will be a force for the next decade. Mcvay was so unselfish as that 2022 team was built were Goff would of won that Superbowl as well. Thank You McVay

Not about Goff, it's about the whole team around him, their playing good consistent football for the first time in franchise history. He's just a huge part of it.
  • With all of the shit Goff went through, it's like he was meant to play for Detroit. Goff vs Everybody

Great to see all the background clips, and great info and tempo. Nice work!
  • Much love to #16. Goff is a very mentally tough quarterback. We love him in the D!
