----OUTDOOR DECKS: DISCOVERY PRINCESS SHIP TOUR----
On the outdoor decks of Discovery Princess, you will find many familiar features like a putting green, jogging track, and sports court. This new ship also features exclusive areas that provide a more upscale experience like the Sanctuary and the Retreat Pool.

At the Sanctuary, you can purchase passes for loungers or a cabana. The Retreat Pool is still adults-only but comes at no additional cost.

Further, Discovery Princess features the most pools and whirlpools of any ship in the Princess Cruises’ fleet.

Deck 16 midship is the main pool area. This centrally located space includes 2 pools, 3 whirlpools, and plenty of seating.

There is also the Wake View Pool. This infinity pool, located all the way aft, offers amazing wake views from high above sea level.

----DINING: DISCOVERY PRINCESS CRUISE SHIP TOUR----
Discovery Princess offers a number of complimentary dining venues. Outdoors, you will find two complimentary venues, the Salty Dog Grill and the Slice pizza shop, nearby the pool.

The World Fresh Marketplace is your typical cruise ship buffet, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while the International Café is your go-to spot 24 hours a day for snacks and other light bites.

Gigi’s Pizzeria is perhaps our favorite Discovery Princess casual restaurant. This sit-down venue offers made to order personal pizzas.

Discovery Princess has three main dining rooms as well, Skagway, Ketchikan, and Juneau. Regardless of venue, each dining room offers the same rotational menu that changes nightly.

There are also three specialty restaurants on Discovery Princess, Bistro Sur La Mer, Crown Grill, and Sabatini’s. These up-charge restaurants are a great value when compared to other cruise lines.

----BARS AND LOUNGES DISCOVERY PRINCESS SHIP TOUR AND REVIEW----
Discovery Princess features a number of bars and lounges, each with its own vibe and signature cocktail list.

Outdoors, you will find the Sea View Bar, Mix Bar, Wake View Bar, and Retreat Bar serving classic cruise cocktails.

Heading indoors, Bellini’s is your champagne bar at sea, while the Crooner’s Bar is the martini bar with live piano music. The Crown Grill Bar is the perfect spot for a pre-dinner cocktail, serving up classic cocktails alongside light piano music.

The Vista Lounge features live music from the resident band. This lounge also serves as a venue for karaoke and is the nighttime dance spot with a DJ.

Further, Princess Cruises features the only jazz theater at sea, Take Five. This swanky lounge is home to live music from the jazz era.

One of the more unique bars is Good Spirits at Sea. This menu features unique cocktails with local ingredients and live demonstrations.

----ENTERTAINMENT: DISCOVERY PRINCESS SHIP TOUR----
The Princess Theater features a new show each evening, including production shows and other headliner acts.

The ship’s singers and dancers were featured in the production show, Rock Opera. While we did not get to see it on our sailing, the second production show, Spotlight Bar, debuts soon on Discovery Princess.

Additionally, Princess Live is a unique entertainment space that hosts daily events like trivia and game shows. Some of our favorites were Yes or No, the Liar’s Club, and Majority Rules.

Do you have plans to sail on the new Discovery Princess? What questions do you have about the ship?
  • @LiniSue
This is THE BEST and the most comphrensive tour and review of this ship I have seen. Well done! No B.S. - no glossing! Thank you - I'm on in November Whoopie!
  • @jenniebrotz1570
We just got back from crusing on the Discovery Princess to Alaska. It was my first cruise and far surpassed any expectations I could have had. The Crew was also amazing. We loved Duvaal the cruise director.
  • Very through! I enjoyed your commentary and no nonsense film style. Thank you.

Don…💯💯💯💯💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏🏼👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Your ability to organize complex information, articulate & communicate are EXCELLENT. I found it especially helpful to have the deck number, the MAP, starboard & port articulated. CAMERA WORK’S OUTSTANDING. Video is Oscar worthy camera work, technically Impressive and captures the beauty of the ship. The video was steady, no fragmentation, PAUSES LONG ENOUGH TO MATCH SPACE W MAP While absorbing audio information. If I could, I would hire you this minute to create Travel videos for a variety of travel destinations 🥳 Princess is extremely fortunate to have the caliber of your work made available to all of us! (( I have watched +20 videos, read books, printed off the deck plans, menus, activities, your video surpassed ALL OTHERS)) I am deeply grateful to you.

Excellent review, the side deck map helps me as well. You also speak clearly, and not too fast. Great info given, helpful to have hours for venues and I'm always trying to understand what parts of ship are included or an extra charge area. Nicely done! Thank you.

We were on DPS just last week to Cabo. This is a well done video! It was our first cruise and my wife and I both agreed the entire staff/crew provided top shelf service and attentiveness!
  • Great job showing Churchills Cigar Lounge and the outside smoking area. I enjoy cigars so these look quite enjoyable
  • Thank you. I'm looking forward to my first cruise, in September. I'll be celebrating my 70th birthday via the Discovery Princess to Alaska. I splurged and got myself a balcony cabin.
  • @jenatucker492

  • @garyredden4772
My wife and I really enjoyed your tour. We are booked on Discovery for the Inland passage starting July 3rd. Really looking forward to it
  • We'll be taking an inland passage cruise this September on the Discovery Princess so your excellent tour of the ship was very appreciated. Thank you for a job well done!
  • @pdrtoolscom
Excellent video... thank you for taking the time to make this.
  • @AronRoss72
I really want to get on this ship, especially since I live in Los Angeles, but my wife keeps yelling at me for booking too many cruises..haha! I really like how you add the deck plan on the right side of the frame. Very nice touch!
  • I did the Discovery on the Alaska Sampler out of Vancouver May 4-8, it was a great cruise and I loved the ship. This was my first Princess cruise and I am looking forward to many more. Thanks for the great video
  • Thanks.. Great job... very comprehensive. I was a bit surprised at the size of the balcony! We're used to the CARIBE Deck 10, with the extra balcony footage. It would have been nice to have seen an inside cabin, as well as a mini suite. thanks again!
  • @NEO3578
