Today we’re watching Dreamwork's Bee Movie! This questionable Jerry Seinfeld film was made popular by editing meme and copy pasted scripts in the late 2010s, but was it any good on its own? Today we’re sitting down on the couch and watching it all the way through to find out.

Bee Movie - 2007
When the bee Barry B. Benson (Jerry Seinfeld) graduates from college, he finds that he will have only one job for his entire life, and absolutely disappointed, he joins the team responsible for bringing the honey and pollination of the flowers to visit the world outside the hive. Once in Manhattan, he is saved by florist Vanessa Bloome (Renée Zellweger) and he breaks the bee law to thank Vanessa. They become friends and Barry discovers that humans exploit bees to sell the honey they produce. Barry decides to sue the human race, with destructive consequences to nature.

The Bee counter counts any spoken use of “bee” or “be”, including puns.

Ken was the most sane in this movie, while literally everyone was taking a BEE’S side. The part that get’s me the most is when Vanessa says, “He happens to be the nicest bee I’ve met in a long time!” And Ken just goes, “A long time? What are you talking about? Are there other bugs in your life?!” Imagine someone cheating on you…WITH A BEE.

Bee Movie is literally the quintessential example of making a genuinely good shitpost-like movie.
  • Fun Fact: Ray Liotta, who owned his own honey brand in the film, is also the same actor who played Tommy Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. So basically, Tommy just picks up a fight with Jerry Seinfield at the court.

4:00 Fun fact back in like grade 7 we actually watched Bee Movie for science class and had to answer questions about it. Don’t ask me why we did, we just did ok.

5:16 The funny thing about that is that the bees that make honey and the ones we're familiar with aren't native to America. They're European bees, and they have infact displaced native bee species due to them taking their food sources. Basically, the honey bees aren't just victims of colonists, they are colonists.

Bee Movie feels like a YTP trying to pass itself off as a feature film
  • It still boggles me that Vanessa dumped her boyfriend for a f*cking insect with a lifespan of about a couple days or whatever. Honestly, I feel so bad for Ken, he was probably the most sane person in this entire movie. In fact, I'm convinced that he's actually the hero and Barry was the villain who ultimately won. So anyways ya like jazz?
  • Watched this movie with my friend and we made a Tally count on how many times Barry Benson should have died in the entirety of the movie. We tallied up 45 different times Barry should have been killed instantly.

Knowing worker bees live about 30-35ish days, and he is probably around 20 days in his life, I feel bad for everyone in this movie.

How did this movie get pitched: “So what if we had a bee who sues the human race and they also have a relationship between that very same bee and a human who dates Patrick Wartburton. Also the bee is Jerry Seinfeld. “ “Say no more!”

I cant believe they turned Jerry Seinfield into a bee for this movie.
  • @Staticblox
I admire the dedication to count every single time the sound "B" was made throughout the video

I’ll never forget when I watched this movie with my grandparents in the theater. It was just my family and this old man. Once it got to the dream sequence with Barry , he walked out. I applaud him for holding on because he must’ve loved Seinfeld!

Do ya like jazz? Also, that bear in the court room is the same model as the one in Over the Hedge.

I don't understand how someone could be alive today and not have seen this masterclass of Jerry Seinfeld
