What an awesome house, I would love to have seen it years ago. I hope you enjoy this explore with us and are having a great day. Thank you for your continued support, we appreciate you all more than you realize.

This place was built in the early 1900's by Albert Andrew Bass and his wife Anna Bass. They lived and worked the mines for 20 years until his wife died. He died shortly after. Another miner took up residence after WWII and worked the mines for another year. Today the place is completely abandoned and considered to be a "secret" location by the very few locals in the area.

I've been binge watching this channel after work for 3 days now. I can't stop. I just want to quit my job, sell my house, and move out to the desert and explore abandoned places.
  • . . . and just proves that either cows can't read notes, or simply don't give a shit if it's surveilled.

I love these videos and love that you are a father & daughter team spending quality time exploring together. This would totally have been something my dad and I would do together if he were still alive. ❤
  • I grew up out there, on a Ranch outside Austin,on Campbell Creek Ranch, anyhow, people did not use those to live, they used them to camp out with their horses and cattle, such as if bad weather or needed to stop before heading on.... YOU ARE WELCOME... I Love it out there, so so many cool places !!!
  • I love the drone footage. It really adds another dimension to the land you had to cover.
  • Good vid, I'm 65 now but it makes me miss my old friends when I was younger and all the things we used to do.
  • Always makes you wonder who and what type of people would choose to live not only so far from everybody else but in such desolate place at that too.

For climate control purposes being under that rock would be awesome placement for the cabin! The geothermal properties of the rock would absorb the heat during the day keeping it cool and release it during the night keeping it warmer. Really cool!
  • Excellent video. I love armchair exploring the American West. I'll never get there so I really appreciate uploaders like you. Subscribed!

Please cover up any holes like the ones you found, especially the well, cuz critters will go in in search of water...or leave a big pole or stick in the hole so critters can climb out. I love exploring old places, looks like you have alot of fun, but also have respect for the past. New Mexico is full of abandoned homes, the old melting adobes are a fascinating look into the past. BE CAREFUL!!!

That is one of the most interesting places yet. The way they built under the rock and modified it to utilize it for their water source. Great video as always.

Living in England as I do you don't come across many remote or abandoned places, i did once stay in a remote holiday cottage (former farmer's home) in Scotland which was lovely. Originally compromised of just two rooms it had an outside toilet and a bath at the bottom of the garden looking out over a valley and using underground heat sources to heat the water. It worked really well and had fantastic views. When I got used to it and my fear of being seen, after three days, I finally had a proper bath; as in a naked one!
  • That rock Was Freakin Huge prettty smart though natural AC probably what that back window was for cooling

I can honestly say this is my favorite channel. Keep these awesome vids coming!

Shouldn't you at least report to the DMV about that car? It could be stolen and the owner could be missing or murdered.

Absolutely unbelievable footage the drone and the voice overs were spot on. That just made already great videos even better. It's really cool to see all those old places again. My father and I use to explore like you and your daughters do we have been to a lot of those places and then the some around the northern part of the state. Your daughters will always cherish these memories with you. You are a good father.
  • Really interesting Miner's cabin, obviously you put a great effort into bringing us this awesome video. Keep up the great work and be safe 👍✌️🇺🇲
