  • I don't know who you are, this is my first video of yours I am seeing and I Literally NEVER write comments on videos but I have to.... It is incredibly refreshing to see someone openly documenting LEARNING life in the outdoors. Everyone else is out here acting like some Guru but to see you learning and just getting into the outdoors is amazing to me. Keep it up, just please tighten the drag on your fishing reel lol Honestly, your amazing and you are earning every ounce of viewership you get.
  • Big thumbs up for being so genuine with your adventure! Full discloser I am a 59 yr old white male who has lived in the U.P. for 57 of those years and what I really appreciate about your video is you don't have to go about things half clothed. You don't do that. Thanks for the post!

Campfire smoke to me is like natures perfume.I think it awakens something in our genes from millenia ago.You will get better at it as you go.Your building some precious memories. Thanks for taking us along.

Obviously new to a lot of what goes into canoe camping. You've done your homework, and don't pretend to know more than you do. Keep it going, your doing great with the 'learning curve'. Be safe, enjoy, and well done! - Mike from Ontario Canada.

Those fish you caught were so lively. They fought really hard. Well done!!

Nicely done. I'm impressed that you brave the wilderness alone. I'm a 65 year old black guy, and when I was backpacking, I only went solo once ( in Colorado). I came to this channel because I'm from Detroit (I've have been living in California for almost 40 years), but I've never been to the U.P. and was curious what backpacking there would be like. Well, ..., I salute your adventurous nature!

Ive seen a lot of backpacking/ hiking/camping videos. This is the first time I've seen a young black woman braving the outdoors. I think its awsome! The best way to learn is getting out there and doing it. I'll definitely be looking for more of your content. Oh and btw...You are a beautiful young lady 😍 Wish I could find someone like you🙏
  • I thoroughly enjoy how simply you travel & how open you are to nature & good fortune, like catching the fish. Please keep sharing your experiences in such beautiful places.

I’m a black guy who has been living in Detroit for +30 years. For some reason, this popped up in my feed. Gave it a watch. Lady has a lot of positive energy about her. Subscribed as a show of support and, I guess, solidarity. That said, if she reads this, please be careful out there. Not going to say going this alone is potentially dangerous. Not going to say doing this by yourself might be unsafe. Just going to say, be careful and listen to your surroundings as you have fun enjoying the U.P. ✌️

This just popped up on my page. Since I am from Michigan I decided to give you a try. I found you refreshing and loved the quit scenery. I will definitely subscribe and watch future videos. Good luck in your future adventures.
  • Thanks for the plug! Enjoyed the video. Congrats on making it back to Klondike, and back to boot. Be proud, that's not an easy feat. Next time you'll have to camp there. It's a beautiful lake and my favorite.👍

Hello 👋 my outdoors friend, greetings from Northern California. Thank you for the tag along. You are quite the adventurer. I'm sorry that I missed your breakfast and dinner invitations. Take good care of yourself and always stay safe out there. 😊 😎

Living in Michigan, I love that someone is showcasing camping and canoeing from here. Don't doubt yourself as you're getting out there and trying new things, those portages may be easy to experienced canoers but doing eight in a day is a ton for someone new. It will be easy to you one day. Also, as someone mentioned make sure you set the drag on your pole, when casting it should be loose enough to pull out line with some resistance and then when you hook larger fish you can increase it so you are able to reel them in.

What a fantastic Sunday evening. I just brewed myself a cup of fresh steaming hot coffee and I got a notification in my Youtube feed that you had posted a new video. The way you present your adventures is absolutely wonderful and it is so visually beautiful and relaxing to watch. I am already looking forward to the next video you will post. So thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us. Please take care of yourself and your loved ones 🧡

I admire your grit and your gourmet camp cooking! I shared your channel with my daughter in MQT, and neither of us can figure out how you manage to look so camera worthy after 4 days. Keep up the adventures young lady.
