Three Somogyi instruments, from 3 different decades ... sit back and enjoy the sweet sound of these very special guitars (played by Al Petteway), as the builder himself, Ervin Somogyi, guides us through the years and the changes that have led to his latest creations.

A guitar's purpose is to translate the emotion embodied in a song into sound without interfering with the artist's interpretation. These guitars do exactly that. You can argue the merits of paying this price for a wood box, but when you sit behind one and play it, there is no denying it is special. I have owned one. I speak the truth.

Great playing Al, a fitting tribute to Somogyi for providing a place for music and talent to speak through his instruments.

the 1980 guitar has 30 years of tone advantage over the rest; its no surprise it sounds better.

I've been looking for a tab of the song, most of what I've heard is a much different rendition. Would anybody have a tab our way to purchase one of al's specific arrangement, which in my opinion is perfect

I think the middle 1999 one has the edge ... But having said that my Kent Chasson signiture dread has a somewhat similar muffled sound. Perhaps not as bad as once thought! ? Well .. at least it only cost me £4500 !

I know this is an older video but is there a tab for this song being played?
