I love how you advocate for “whatever is fun for you.” Nuzlockes are primarily about the death clause and limited Pokémon in some way. And even then, it’s not for everyone and there exist other challenges.

This was absolutely a nuzlocke. It was monotype, with the exception of the starter, which many people allow an exception for in mono-type runs anyways. Pretty well done. Hopefully he starts doing itemless runs :)

Must say, rather brave this Yong fellow is. First Nuzlocke, a blind monotype run? Well done on him. Also, being a little weird and mean... whether losing the Skorupi was really bad is determined by whether or not you count Drapion for this run, since it turns into a Dark/Poison type, which would technically disqualify it... on the other hand, if it's good enough for Aaron, it's probably good enough for us.

Returning to say that this animation made me see the appeal of doing a monotype Nuzlocke. Maybe it's just 'cause Young Yong Tales did it more out of his personal fondness for Bug-types than solely wanting to challenge himself. Kinda makes me wonder if I should try my hand at a monotype Flying Nuzlocke sometime (Flying is my favorite Type, along with Dragon and Grass. Also maybe Rock but mostly just for the Fossils).
