I can’t understand HOW anyone can leave a child in a car, period. Those who say that the child was sleeping and I left the car running with the AC on, that’s BS. What happens if your car is stolen while running with your child inside and you’re in the house. If your child isn’t the most important person in your life, the one who depends on you for love, protection and safety, then your priorities are totally f’d up.

It’s not an accident. It’s just bad parenting and it needs to be explained as such. I don’t even leave my dogs in a hot car. If I can’t bring them with me then I leave them home. How someone could be so stupid is beyond me.

Always get the kids out first. They are more important than ice cream or other frozen foods. They are more important than a text, game or anything digital. They are more important than drugs or alcohol. Given other recent stories, more important than GAMBLING!!

Sorry for the mother's loss. I bet the father had no problem taking his cell phone into the house. Knowing how hot it was outside, why leave the car running with the child left inside? Why not take her inside when he himself went inside?

Put him in a hot car, how do you forget and leave your child in a car for over a hour even if you left the car running with tha Ac on, why would he not take her in the house with him ,makes no sense. Alot of cars will cut off after so long of a time . No excuse .Sorry for the baby. He should be charged with neglect and endangering a child. Maybe if these parents spent a few years in jail others would learn.
