"We Are Not Broken" is a non-profit charity that highlights the beauty of physical scars that women and girls carry from either, domestic abuse, cancer, trauma, collisions, surgeries, combat, self harm, etc to show them that they are beautiful because of their scars. Their scars tell their story of still being alive to bless all those around them. Without those scars and medication they would have surely died or given up.
I am trying to dis-spell the notion that these women are somehow broken now and have to cover up, or get a tattoo to cover up their scars. Shame, guilt and isolation are not to be used because of a battle they have fought to survive. I use photography, hair and make up and videography so that they can tell their beautiful stories. I have photographed young teenage girls who are being bullied because of their scars, young children who are being laughed at because of their scars and women who hide in shame because of their scars.
Please help me get the word out all across America that we will make it to every State to accomplish this mission of change. A change of mindset. You can learn more about us at:
