Call of Duty: Black Ops is set in the Cold War era. Much of the Call of Duty: Black Ops campaign is told through the eyes of SOG and CIA operative Alex Mason, primarily through flashbacks. Mason is asked questions by an unknown interrogator about a numbers broadcast which is being used to contact Soviet sleeper cells in the United States. These questions set the stage for the campaign missions.

Black Ops 1 - Good story Black Ops 2 - Continues the story Black Ops 3 - Doesn't continue anything. The game was an original title, but the devs slapped "Black Ops III" to make more money.

I love how BO3 is only 23 seconds long. And The best one, (BO1), lasts the longest out of all of them.

Also, in that russian operation, there is guy named Dmitriy Petrenko, a friend and main protagonist of World at War. So it makes sense, that Reznov is so fucking angry, they killed his friend, who went through the whole WW2 with him.

Black Ops 1-Great story that makes sense. Black Ops 2-Great sequel that continues the great story Black Ops 3-I don't even fucking know what the hell is going on in this. I'd have an easier time understanding calculus
