Dottie has been in the hall of fame in our hearts, it’s been way overdue, it makes me wonder what goes on when they make their determination of hall of famers. Now let’s get Gary Stewart in there.

So sad to see the induction into the CMA Hall of Fame of Dottie West after she past. So talented a Lady couldn't be inducted while she was living. One of the first ladies of Country music. The CMA really dropped the ball on this one. She should have been inducted years ago while she was still living!
  • Growing up I'd heard of Dottie West but at the time had never heard her sing. Later when an adult my music choices brought me to explore country music. When I heard her sing a cover of Patsy Cline's He Called me Baby, her style and strong voice blew me away.I spent countless hours trying to obtain a copy of her singing that song. May God bless her for bringing millions of fans joy and delight in hearing her sing. Well deserved induction! She's a country music legend.

When I was about 4 or 5, Dottie performed at Whiteman AFB. MY Dad took me to the show. Dottie saw me and lifted me up on stage and held me and hugged me. I remember looking out on the audience. I don't remember much, being so little, but I remember her loving warmth. I will never forget that and I think of it whenever I think of my Dad. This was probably '68 or '69....
  • Love her music and I am so glad she has finally gotten into the Hall of Fame!

So glad to see Dottie in the Hall of Fame. She is way overdue to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. She is truly Country Music's warmest ray of Country Sunshine. Dottie was always so good to me. Good to see Kerry and Tess Marie. They are all so very special.

It's about time Dottie West got inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame. She was a great country singer & this is a big honor that she deserves. She should've been inducted several years ago, but I'm glad she finally got inducted.

WOW we love her so much. We have never forgotten her. This took way too long. Saw her @ Cheyenne Frontier Days with Kenny Rogers. I still remember her on that stage with that enviable, one of a kind female voice! She was the epitomy of a true country female singer! RIP DOTTIE! We still love you & miss you terribly! Your candle still shines in our lives & it will forever more! Congratulations!! Don't burn down heaven with your candles tonite! We want to get there to hear you sing again! LOVE!

My name is Donald Ewert and Dottie West called me her #1 Fan!. I became a fan of Dottie's back when I was just 13 years of age. The first time I heard her was when I played my mother's LP Dottie & Don (Gibson). After that I just had to get her next latest album. I did and also bought other copies of her records to give to other people. Anyway, Dottie knew of this and started calling me her #1 Fan. I had the pleasure of talking with Dottie on the phone a few times. She always remembered me thru the years. Now and then I still buy one of her CD's and give it to a friend!!

Dottie deserves all of this. She was a wonderfully talented lady and Jeanie Sealy was another great and still is. I listen to hear on the radio sometimes on sundays and she still has it. Thank you for sharing this. God Bless.
