In the middle of filming this pen review video we were interrupted by an LAPD helicopter flying over the house looking for somebody in a police chase! (I think it was Adam!). Luckily they left as quickly as they came and we managed to finish showcasing these beautiful luxury pens, including a large selection from Montegrappa.

I love the way Adam leaves the Bloopers in the video and tells Michael that he's going to cut them out. The two of them have such a good friendship and have so much fun together, it's great to see the camaraderie.

In 1988 I wandered into a pen shop in Belfast and decided to treat myself to a nice pen - which I have always known as my "100 Guinea" . . . £105 for a limited edition Waterman fountain pen. It is a joy to use, but over the years has suffered from chipping of the enamel. I think the time has come to ask Waterman to do a refurbishment (they did one before on a 1920's pen I had been given by my mother - and it turned out that they were so pleased it was still being used that they didn't charge me).
