Good overview, but holy moly why so many picture discs? In any case, the speakers built in pre amp is probably better than your stand alone PP999. If youre ever looking for a cheap one thats actually good the Art DJ 2 is the best you can get in the 50$ range. Remember also after a few hundred hours or so the Red stylus is pretty worn out and I would suggest going for the Blue if you can. Its a real nice upgrade since the Red body fits the Blue and should yield a more present and full bodied sound compared to the Red. Direct Drive vs Belt is a pretty moot discussion these days, it doesnt really matter and Id argue DD is better for budget setups since it offers more accurate speeds. The anti skate is pretty basic on these Project tables as well indeed, although anti skate isnt really that accurate to begin with. You would do best by moving the speakers to another surface instead of sharing it with the TT, especially if you get a sub.

that preamp wont do your records any justice. The preamp you go with makes just as much of a difference as the cartridge you go with. Why spend all that money on a decent turntable, cartridge and speakers if your just gonna cheap out and buy a crappy preamp?
