I am surprised that American fish don't have fingers. Ours were first bred with fingers in 1955 by the American Clarence Birdseye. Thank you for another lovely portrait of our country.

Went on a school visit here, many many moons away, the Beatles were still together 😅, to young to realise or understand what I was looking at. Northumberland a real hidden gem 💎
-
Love Northumberland, it’s a gem.

This video has given me the warmest feeling of being home again, thanks!

I remember that video and how I understood exactly the emotional reaction you were having. What an absolute joy to be able to return and share this beautiful place with loved ones!

Northumberland still on my to do list. Remember fondly your previous visit. Craster is so charming. Can we have Kippers for breakfast? I don’t think we have them in Texas.. ha ha just had to sing that again, it’s a tune that Ian sang so well she has been singing all week! This is uncanny, I had a crab sandwich today and fish finger butties last night. This is bizarre. Cant beat a fish finger butty. Ian is not a fan of crabs! What a perfect day! ❤

Fish finger sandwich should be on thick white bread, spread with butter, with lashings of tomato ketchup 😋

A great day was had by everyone.

Hi Dara and Ian. Love your vids. I am originally from Newcastle, now living in France, and whenever I go home, the first thing I do is to head for Craster to do my walk to Dunstanburgh. It's my favourite castle in the whole world and the walk up to it is just so lovely. You leave the busy world behind you. As soon as they could my kids came along too. Many happy memories and photos from these trips. Glad you enjoyed it.

What a lovely place, no wonder you had a terrific time there.... I would, haha... And postcard perfect weather too. Many thanks for sharing your happy times with us. Warm greetings from your new Danish friend.... Thomas

Back in the late 1960s/early 1970s my Step Father knew the then owners of the L. Robson & Sons Smokery quite well and we used to visit occasionally. If memory serves, back then they had 4 Royal Warrants: The Queen, The Queen Mother, The Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales. Why they don't have them any more is something of a mystery to me. 🤔

Wow look at those blue skies 👌🏻 Northumberland looks fantastic, oooh fish finger sandwiches are lovely. I think with crab you either love it or hate it, a bit like marmite 😂 A great walk with great views. And an amazing ruin at the end. Thank you for taking us with you Dara & Ian. Looks looked amazing. X💕👌🏻take care both

If you 4 are going through Bamburgh via the Seahouses road, have a peep into the car park opposite the Castle, there's a food van there does freshly landed lobster wraps (as does the Fish Shack down on the beach at King Edward's Bay, Tynemouth, miss one, catch the other)

It's ok, the 47 days relates to me personally, something I mentioned before, but I know you wouldn't' have remembered that. I used to live in Pensacola, FL and I'm told my favourite store there 'Winn Dixie' has been bought by Aldi. OMG. I shop here mostly in Sainsbury's, or Waitrose. Organic stuff is best in Waitrose and when I'm in the London office M&S however, WD wins every time for me. I'm going back there in September. I look forward to your next video, and seeing your newbies to the UK in a few weeks. Awesome

Lovely village, the UK has so many of these postcard perfect locations. The Jolly Fisherman's outdoor seating area looked so nice on a sunny day, I love being able to look out to sea or a coastal view. Don't like being on the water, I get seasick! But love been near it.
-
So beautiful. Thank you, Dara. And wow, you had great weather -- that blue sky just added to all the lovely views!!

Hi Dara and Ian. 'Happy Father's Day!" What's the view! I often have opportunity to have meal by the sea at local restaurants and watch dolphins' play. But not Castle nor ruins like you had fabulous view through the ages. The UK offer full of history I admire in your films 2:07 This film is just right time for Father's Day. Haha what? Crab sandwich is fishy? How fishy? Their meat is flaky, but how they made it fishier?? hahaha I am glad you gave 10/10 on the fish sandwich. I have never had mushed pea, but like peas.. I like brioche buns, a little buttery sweetness. Well done. Enjoy Father's Day, you all.

When you were in Craster it was freezing and chucking it down with rain here!

Our Internet went down just as the sheep posed, and I was stuck with the circle of doom spinning around the sheep's head 😂

Taken MY American guests there many times.....the smokery etc. Fancy having a week in one of those cottages - love the way the seabed is just rock. Mind you there are some odd little communities up there !
