Author Douglas Murray has called out Channel 4 over its new documentary on allegations against Kevin Spacey.

Oscar winner Kevin Spacey has broken his silence to hit back at his accusers and the media hit pieces that have destroyed his reputation.

“It’s an extraordinary thing – the Channel 4 documentary, as I understand it, was commissioned before the trials that Kevin Spacey was put through in the US and UK,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“Of course, he was exonerated in both those cases because there was nothing to them. He was found not guilty in two countries.

“Channel 4 seem to have put so much money into the documentary they were hoping would reveal Kevin Spacey that when he was found not guilty and acquitted, it’s obviously bothered Channel 4, so they pushed ahead anyway with a set of other accusers whose complaints are extraordinary.

“And extraordinary, not because they’re extraordinarily serious, but because, first of all, they go back – one of them goes back 50 years almost.”

“Unwanted advances” - how does one know an advance is unwanted before you make it?
  • I can’t get enough of Douglas Murray. He speaks straight from the heart and intelligent brain he was gifted with. His sarcastic truths are just sublime 🇬🇧🙌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I love Douglas Murray, if the world was full of Douglas’s we wouldn’t have all these troubles. Douglas for UK PM.

Douglas and Rita have given me my first laugh in a horrible day of meeting anti-Semitism and violence on every corner. Grateful thanks to both of you. Incidentally, the little speech from Douglas about how deeply women want to be train drivers - it would go down well in a comedy theatre.😊

Couldn‘t agree more with Murray! Love Kevin Spacy. So tired of this cancel culture.

Douglas is always interesting to listen to. I've never disagreed with anything he's ever said.

When do we have an investigation into Channel 4? Their hashtag is #BeCruel.

And Netflix should apologise, bring him back and completely re-film the last season of House of Cards. They completely destroyed one of their best series due to these accusations against him, rather than allowing the legal process to take its course.

"When I am in China, I am appalled to note that train drivers are predominantly Chinese ! ! ! " Murray is delightful.

It’s disgusting that just an accusation can cost you everything.

Libel laws need to be changed. This is beyond outrageous. They can destroy anyone for the hell of it.
  • Why can't people move on. Kevin Spacey is a great actor and I miss seeing him. Enough is enough.
