Dorothy: "She slipped the knife into her purse--" Sophia: "Big deal, I took a whole place setting." Dorothy: "NOT NOW MA!!"

“How is that coffee?” “Terrific!” “Actor...” I love this so much lol.
  • The best line of the episode, and perhaps Rose's greatest line of all: "Maybe that bloody dagger will lead us to the murder weapon!"

"Oh that's right, you've never been good at life." That is, like, the ORIGINAL burn. Damn.

The "Not now Ma" joke is easily among the best in the series and cracks me up every time I hear it.
  • Loved the Golden Girls growing up, so happy you're expanding out from Murder, She Wrote into other shows about cool older women.

The teddy bear grab is my favorite Rose moment of all time. That victorious smile just makes me so happy too. All the Goosebumps and other spooky horror stuff is great, but sometimes it really is nice to take a simpler path and just enjoy some Golden Girls. Right now's a good time. Farewell, Betty.

You should’ve added the part where... Dorothy: Last evening when Ms. McGlinn saw Blanche give Nesbuit her key she was FURIOUS. She dropped a steak knife into her purse- Sophia: Big deal I took a whole place setting Dorothy: NOT NOW MAW!

There's 2 possible reasons that I liked this video. Either you make great content, or... Who am I kidding!? That's why I did it.

For all the constant talk one hears about "demographics" and such, I'd like to state that, as a heterosexual male kid, I enjoyed this show immensely. And another thing. Having known Betty White only from this show, and then seeing her in Lake Placid, that's one hell of a jarring transition, which only makes it even more fun to watch.

8:28 For the record, a Girl Scout found Rose's childhood teddy bear and was demanding $1,000 to return it.

You will singlehandedly fill the entire golden-age-women-solving-murder-mysteries YouTube niche, and I love it.
  • Okay, I discovered PUR through vintage video games. And I love those vids, I truly do. But I am absolutely here for PUR discussing '80s and '90s TV shows.

Great trivia and humour in the voiceover. One extra bit of info: Bea Arthur and Angela Lansbury's friendship goes back to them doing the musical 'Mame' together in the 60s. They both won a Tony for their roles.
  • I love that pink ruffled blouse. The off the shoulder action is sexy, it’s bright and super feminine. Blanche is rocking it!

“To Catch a Neighbor” from Season 2 is a fun nugget! It has a young George Clooney, a Dorothy love interest and a fun undercover cop plot! :)

I would love to see you cover my favorite episodes, the two-parter entitled 'Sick and Tired'. It's about Dorothy getting the run-around as she sees doctors about her chronic fatigue syndrome. We get a crossover with Empty Nest, and a heartwrenching speech near the end about women getting ignored by their doctors when they're seriously ill and scared.
  • The most meaningful, if depressing, episode was the one where their mean, spiteful neighbor lady dies. She had no friends and no family, and the Golden Girls have to take it upon themselves to plan her funeral, and are the only ones to attend it. It seemed very much in the spirit of “A Christmas Carol.”

"My scythe--I like to keep it next to where my heart used to be."
