The City of London and the City of Westminster are technically both cities within London. It's confusing though, so we just forget about it and just say everything's London.

Missed an interesting fact about the old "entrance" to the city which have all become place names, such as Moorgate, Ludgate, Aldgate etc

The City of London also contains St Bartholomew's Hospital (Barts) which was founded in 1123 by Rahere. On a pilgrimage to Rome in 1115, Rahere fell ill and a vision of St Bartholomew told him to founded a hospital. Barts is now a specialist cancer and cardiac hospital and is the oldest hospital in the UK still on its current site.
