SIDI IFNI AND FINDING THE BIGGEST MARKET YET ON OUR MOROCCO ADVENTURE...

Published 2023-02-18
This week we are in the coastal town of Sidi Ifni (we are still heading south!). We had a great time with our friends exploring the township of Sidi Ifni and found the HUGE weekend market. Sidi Ifni has a massive regional hub market every Saturday and Sunday where vendors with vans, tents and stalls come from the surrounding towns and villages to set up and sell there produce, fruit and vegetables and homewares and hardware.

It makes for a great day out in Sidi Ifni!

Thanks for watching! :)

  • Absolutely love Sidi Ifni. So glad you stopped there. Your video brought back many happy memories of years gone and more recently too. Difference is so interresting as you journey through Morocco dont you think? Some places stronger in tradition and authentisity. One remaining factor is the wonderful warmth and friendliness of the people wherever. Happy for you. Knew about the airport but not the one plane story. Would love to know too. See you next time 👍👌

11:57 Yes that land used to be a military airport during the Spanish invasion of that region, now the land contains shops near the soq , an area reserved for the weekly market/soq, an other area used as a taxi and bus station, smaller area occupied by a weather station and large part on the west side of that land has turned into houses and villas About the weekly market it last 3 days on Sidi Ifni Saturday and Sunday in the location and Monday on an other location and there are other regional market such as Khmis (Thursday) of Tioughza

good remark about clothing change. Sidi ifni is part of Sahroui tribes and culture. that's why there is a change.it's the weekly market, each town or commune have there own weekly market. named souk or souk day.
