  • That’s weird, I watched another show similar to this one on the same channel that tested wattle and daub, and they showed that if it was built properly and maintained, wattle and daub was extremely resistant to fire and heat (mud mixture protected the wood on the inside from very high temps). The real problem was the extremely poor not keeping up with maintenance on the places they lived since Victorian classism kept them so poor, that food was the main focus for them. Wish this show would properly research then explain the whole story.
  • I enjoyed this, it is fascinating. I Love History and I love buildings and when a building like Birmingham’s 1960 concrete library building was knocked down it well from my perspective to knock it down was a crime, I had many many happy times within the walls of that Birmingham Library ☹️😥

    21:40 - why push all the buildings to the outside if you’re just gonna pave the middle and leave it bare. It’s a bit bleak.
