Two of Jim Henson's earliest Muppets in most of the gloriously sadistic commercials that persuade you to drink Wilkins Coffee or die. Wilkins and Wontkins would also be used for a variety of other brands, including Red Diamond Coffee. Recovered from Garrett Gilchrist's suspended Henson Rarities channel.

"Do you drink Wilkins?" "No" Commits acts of domestic terrorism
  • I like how their marketing tactic is just "if you don't drink our coffee were gonna make it look like an accident"
  • @superbigtime
Him wiping the blade clean while stating "Some learn, some don't" is incredibly raw.
  • Yes, yes, yes, and people born in the 50s era is saying video games is causing all the violence. But nobody has actually realized violence is caused by coffee.

"Do you drink Wilkins Coffee?" "No" Current Objective: SURVIVE

“Some learn, some don’t.” Took me a second to realize he was wiping blood off his sword.

I can’t watch a 15 second modern ad, but I just spent 15 minutes of my life watching coffee ads from a company that probably doesn’t even exist anymore.

"Do you like Wilkens Coffee?" "No" Starts nuclear warfare
  • Jim Henson never liked coffee, which is how he came up with all the ideas for these commercials. He was Wontkins and Wilkins was everybody and anybody who tried to make him drink coffee. ☕️

"Marketing is 10% persuasion and 90% intimidation" - Wilkins, probably

Breaking news: Kermit the frog’s cousin kills elmo’s grandad Edit: okay actually elmo’s grandad is apparently immortal, as he is somehow still alive. We are currently investigating the murders, and trying to get this murderer. Their names are Wontkins and Willkins. A theory about why Willkins was killing Wontkins is that he refused Willkin’s coffee.

Advertising used to be so easy; "DRINK OUR COFFEE OR DIE"
  • My mom was a guinea pig for the original Sesame Street as a toddler. It’s one of her earliest memories. Her uncle worked with Jim Henson to design Big Bird, so that’s how this happened. It’s not a shock that we’re big Jim Henson fans in our family. He had such a sick sense of humor and I love it.

I absolutely love these, they’re so unapologetically aggressive

Damn some of these are dark... But not as dark as a hot, fresh cup of Wilkins Coffee.
  • These commercials are just amazing as a whole, but the one where he swordfights with Wontkins is absolute art. Like, "Some learn, some don't," while Wilkins wipes his sword is, as another commenter said, raw as hell.
  • Wilkins Coffee hasn't been available for more than 31 years. We are living in fear of his retribution.
