  • Boy, that is a nice looking hinge set. I think I could find a place in my home or shop for something like that. Thank you for sharing. Have a great Holiday and stay safe.🙂🙂
  • @GodschildinNC
I like the way that these came out. Always nice to see a craftsman at work!
  • @lizzard3699
I absolutely love watching this channel, not sure if its cause the metal work looks great, bear is such a wonderful person to learn from, or because its all endlessly fascinating, but I love watching bear work with metal
  • @OdegardOnline
This looks like a good candidate to try forge welding in a gas forge. I'm looking forward to trying the "pry it up, insert flux, then close it again" before trying the weld. As I said on a previous comment, I can get welds to work in coal, but the gas forge has been a challenge. Thanks for the great video!
  • @stevegray807
I love how you show diffrent items that you make and that you show methods of working on it
  • Great job John, those hinges turned out really good and you gave great instructions to be able to make them. Thanks for sharing with us. Fred.

Looks like you’re having the same weather that we’re having in Utah. Great tutorial as usual. This is good timing, I’ve been thinking about making a set of hinges similar to the ones you made. Thanks again and stay warm.
  • @SchysCraftCo.
Very nice set there John. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge On. Fab On. Weld On. Keep making. God bless.

  • @metaomicron72
Just discovered this channel. Love the long video format, no background music, good calm and informative voice. Might even try to get into metal working myself!
  • @JasonBarnhart
I was just looking at some of these at the Mercer museum. I learned to make them when I was 14 or 15. Hadn’t thought about them in years. Yours look great. Excellent explanation!
  • John, I want to commend you on the way you explain what your are doing. You use common language that simple folks can understand and your iillustrations are very clear. I have watched a great number of your videos and have learned something on every one of them. Thanks for what you do.
  • Masterful!! Great project. Loved it. Love seeing the small hammer for delicate work. Army
