Another thing not to bring is candles, most dorms don't allow them! Rooms sprays are a great alternative!

What not to bring to college: guns.
  • 1.heels 2.unnessasary clothes 3.ipad 4.appliances 5.printer 6.school supplies 7.non-functional room decor 8.cups and mugs 9.your significant other Saved you time 😁
  • I used mugs every single day because I was constantly making tea and coffee in my room..just a tip if you don't want to pay for coffee everyday just make your own!
  • If you're lazy like me, bring a printer! If I had to real quick print something before class you will not feel like walking to the library to print one little thing!

At my college most professors don't allow laptops in class so you really do need a notebook for every class and a lot of times it's actually easier especially in math and science classes to take notes on paper so that you can draw diagrams and stuff. Also in my elementary education program a lot of the professors have course packs, a big stack of printed papers you need for the class, so I actually had two binders for one class last semester. I also had a loose leaf textbook my freshman year that needed a binder. So I really do think it's important to get school supplies ahead of time, especially if you know you won't have a car or some easy way to get to a Walmart or some place because college bookstores are stupid expensive. I mostly use a folder and notebook for each class, two or three 1" binders, pencils and pens of course, highlighters, and a package of basic note cards for if you decide you want to make flashcards for studying (a technique I never used in high school but use all the time in college). A file organizer to keep everything in one spot and not lying everywhere is also super helpful.

You should do a video on what you wish you brought to college that you didn't
  • I think she meant that dating in college is hard and takes up too much time. She isn't saying that you shouldn't have a bf, she means you shouldn't focus on them.

I go to school in New York and my boyfriend goes to school in Florida and we still have a blast at school and don't let our relationship ruin our college experience! i know everyone is different but thought I would share my story!

no relationship is a waste of time. chances are having a strong relationship will be much more meaningful and enjoyable then having random hu and such with different people.

Pillows! Don't bring a ton of pillows because they just get in the way and annoying to throw them off ur bed and pick them all up in the morning:)
  • school rentals for mini fridges are always a huge scam, if you need one, just buy a smaller cheap one. Also definitely bring a printer, at most colleges you have to pay to print.

i"m rooming with my friend from high school and she told me that her and her current boyfriend want to switch off every other weekend visiting each other and i'm just over here sipping my tea.

I would say definitely don't bring a TV. They're expensive and take up room, and pretty much anything you need a TV for you can use a laptop! A lot of my friends brought TVs and literally never used them.
  • The only one I do not agree with is the boyfriend/girlfriend. Me and my fiancé started dating our junior year in high shool and just graduated college. We are getting married in six weeks. The other things however I totally agree with.

if you and your significant other are totally happy in your relationship, I don't really see the point in just letting it go. it's totally possible to have your space in college and still be committed to someone, and if as you go it doesn't work out then it doesn't work out but I just don't think it makes sense to break up if you're both happy in your relationship.
