YOU GOTTA FLY WITH THE DRONE WHEN THEY HIT YOU OFF THE EDGE MADZ, YOU GOTTA FLYYYYYYY
  • @Dustin_DM
I get the problem where you get pushed from the map. Also happened to me one or two times until I realised that when you get in the "hurt state", you get pushed into the air and can use the drone to fly away and reposition yourself

Honestly one of my main gripes with the dlc is the story. Leading up to the drop there was so much mystery and intrigue. Where’s Marina? Where are we? Why is Inkopolis Square like this? What’s up with Acht? We get answers to most of these questions almost IMMEDIATELY! The personal motivation of getting Marina back and uncovering what’s going on are suddenly gone. The motivation of “oh we gotta save the world” is fine but I feel like it would’ve been a much more interesting and powerful story if more of these mysteries were uncovered throughout playing. Imagine getting Marinas dev logs while she’s still missing, and the logs revealing that we’re in a virtual reality after a couple runs. Then you free Marina at the top and she helps you fight off Order in a final battle after she’s freed. Then smollusk becomes the final boss at the tower just like the regular game. This isn’t a perfect idea but I just was a bit disappointed since Octo expansion had such a cool story with a lot more personal stakes than the base game campaign. I still LOVE side order and have been having a TON of fun with it though :D
  • I think it's good. Keep in mind, you can dislike it if you want, I think it's worth it.

i have never fallen off the edge of a map in side order yet, because whenever i get my armor broken and knocked back, i move to a different location with the pearl bot
  • @leoramirez8078
the hack where you jump when you have broken armor is really good because you fall off the map, you jump really high and you can just glide back to the stage
  • @tinyninja7716
Remixed old bosses having a chance to appear would have been such a good move.

Completed 6 palettes so far and didn’t even know you could fall off the map 💀

Hm interesting. I do share your views on the DLC considering the lack of variety in missions and enemies, but the specific thing about being thrown off is a little... strange to me. I do get overwhelmed by enemies from time to time of course, but mostly by getting cornered somewhere. Although getting more upgrades from Marina does help alot in the late game. Anyways. I don't think I've been thrown off the map like this that often. Maybe once or twice? Usually when I get thrown off to somewhere, I just use Pearl to glide somewhere safe. Also the Armor Break Jump Upgrade helps a lot with that.

My main problem is that the palettes were nice and all but having the beat the game 12 times to fight the same final boss it would've been nice if there were at least difficulty change or a different form the final boss could take instead of an octopus shielded off and waiting to die and it would've been nice if there were a secret boss like in the octo expansion because octo expansion have a lot of variety coming for it and was always fun replaying it but side order kind of failed at grasping at the same excitement for as octo expansion had.

I think having more types of enemies that’s unique to each region would help! So that it also shows that you’re progressing more while making each area feel more unique outside of environment. Kinda like slay the spire where you only see louses in the first act, only snekos and that annoying hexing guy in the second act, and so on!
  • @Typisk
For people struggling with swarming jellotons I’ve found prioritizing upgrading the pearl drone as well as getting sticky/poison ink colour chips early on to be the best way to get rid of them quickly!! Also getting the disc upgrades (which can close portals) obviously also helps
  • My issue with the dlc really isnt from getting bumped off the map its splatting a bunch of jellitons to clear the objective, and SOMEHOW i still get swarmed by over 50 something jellitons all at once; this is what happened with the remix final boss last night- not only did i get swarmed with all the monsters but the boss itself also broke my armor in the process, so i was just royally fucked.
  • @mksinc3867
If you have the upgrade where you fly into the air when your armor is broken, if your getting swarmed you can jump off the map so it breaks your armor but you can still get back on the map and away from the swarm

Why’d my ass think this was a Scotfalco video when I saw the thumbnail
  • @rosemary3029
The fact theres 5 bosses (if counting spoilers: marina and order) and the pinging marciale is a remix of the octowhirl, the rondo is a hive mind(theory idk) and parallel cannon is your player from splatoon 2(if you transfer your save data) Edit: I've died from being ganged up by the jelleton more than falling off the map
  • A problem I have is that out of side order I get too used to pearl drone so when I try to fly in turf war I'm like "where's pearl- oh right..😭😭"
  • @gatr2897
The whole intention behind the broken armor jump is so that you can fly away on the drone just stop firing or entering swim mode when you get armor broken so you don't fall off lol. I say this as someone who's beaten the DLC with all weapons already, that did get me a few times but I learned to just use the drone pretty quick
  • @The_Bean_Master
I personally never really had the issue of falling off, partly due to upgrading the armor jump early on. Also, i always use the pearl drone after a armor jump to escape.
  • thanks for keeping it spoiler free madz. im getting it on thursday
