People who don't have acne will never understand the self-doubt and mental problems it can cause. I have been struggling with it for ten years but I am not giving up

Acutane side effects scared me so I just did anabolic steroids instead

for anyone who struggles with acne!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEE DO NOT TAKE ACCUTANE, let me just tell you this before you ever consider accutane... Think of acne as an infection in the gut (mainly the liver), infact your skin is essentially a representation of your liver's health. please try to fix your acne naturally, I have struggled with acne for 10 years, going to dermatologists who just prescribed medication, or topical retinols. It wasn't until a year ago I came across the realization that you need to change your lifestyle in order to get rid of acne... this means getting on a diet, NO sugar, low carbs, no dairy, and nothing that you may even be a little bit allergic too or sensitive too. You don't want to digest anything that will cause inflammation, get rid of processed foods, grains, wheat, bread, switch to high-quality meat, eggs, salads, cruciferous vegetables, berries, nuts, etc. Eating healthy is the 1st step, also taking supplements, I take zinc, quercetin, vitamin D3, vitamin A, vitamin B-complex, omega-3 fatty acids, prebiotics, probiotics, L-Lysine.. All of these are natural, and will not only improve your skin, but will improve your cognitive function, your bones, muscles, mood, everything!!! The other half of getting rid of acne is the external part, cleanse your face once a day with salicylic acid, I recommend CeraVe for facial cleansers and moisturizers, I also use Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide serums. IF you have body acne, take ice baths to decrease inflammation, or cold showers. use ice cubes on the face to decrease inflammation. Some remedies that I ALWAYS do are Apple Cider Vinegar, 1-2 tablespoons mixed with water every day, along with 2 cups of tea (spearmint, milk thistle, licorice root, and green tea are the best for decreasing inflammation, with Green tea being the best because it directly effects the sebaceous gland). Acne is a journey, heal your body, treat it like a temple, and youll see results. I recommend Dr. Eric Berg if you want the science and reasoning behind a lot of this, he is what I consider a true doctor, a natural path, please if you want to get rid of your acne, consider watching some of his videos. AND STAY COMMITTED! You can do it!

As someone who recently became acne free I feel so much more connected to you knowing that you also went through this, my acne started getting really bad I wanna say a year and half ago in 10th grade and it completely destroyed my ability to hold long conversations because I would realize as I was talking to someone they could see my acne and I'd then try to look away hide it etc. I still struggle with looking at my closest friends in the face because I still have an instinct to try to hide my acne. I loved talking to people and there were so many people I wanted to talk to and become friends with in school but I couldn't because of my lack of self-confidence and the whole time it wasn't getting better because I had a pretty horrible skincare routine that was probably hurting rather than helping me. I'd created an obsession with cleanliness and diet and anything that could make my acne worse, I'd look up if a certain ingredient had an impact on acne and just stop eating it even if it might not have been true I.e i stopped/limited eating: white rice, "enriched" breads (common in America), dairy (only one that had impact) items with lots of sodium, sugar etc. I also had changed up so many small lifestyle things that I can't keep track of, I was and still am paranoid of things touching my face (touching my face had a HUGE impact on my skin so stop doing it if you have acne) Starting a few months ago my skin showed slight improvement since I optimized my skincare routine, stopped using a cleanser in the morning and (for some reason I didn't do this before) I'd put a moisturizer on after the cleanser to help maintain the skin barrier. but since It wasn't improving fast enough I was prescribed doxycycline pills and a benzoyl peroxide gel, both to reduce oil and acne on my face and skin in genera, this showed HUGE improvement in only a couple days, and now after a month I can say I'm acne free besides a lot of scars on my forehead. I've always had longer-ish hair and than normal for a guy and I'd use that to my advantage for hiding my acne back when I had it, but consequently as a result I'd constantly worry about how it looked because it was the only thing I really felt in control of (My hair wasn't even that good, plus it would indirectly make my skin worse from oils getting on my face). Now that my acne is officially gone I got a nice haircut and I don't have it halfway hanging over my face to conceal anything and it looks better than it did before. I am more extroverted ever and I feel like my normal self again after 2 years, and now I take pictures of myself regularly , I think I've taken more photos of my self the past 3 weeks than I did the whole time having acne and.

bro has given me a new way to live, your video resonated the most with me. thanks a lot.
  • @AgileAwake
Makes me feel so much more comforted knowing that a lad my age has been struggling with this as well. Your acne is extremely similar to mine and as people who love self improvement, the gym and improving our physical appearance as much as possible, I related a lot when you talked about the lows that come with something that you can't control. Another great video mate, keep up the good work and thank you for being so open and honest, this has helped a lot of us more than you know. đź‘Ť

I had severe acne when I was in school, around 15-17 and got prescribed roacutanne and took it for about 5-6 months I think, it got a lot worse at the start but gradually cleared up my skin and I’ve never had acne since, was all over my back and was even bleeding through my t-shirts! Hope it gets better for you joe:)
  • @FlixRacing

As someone who have the same experience with this medication, I was basically seeing myself in this video. I had my worst months of my life in terms of self confidence when I was taking the medication. But I am happy with the result now and it totally worth it. I am now acne free.
