I lived in Texas for the first 17 years of my life. That alone says I should be a Cowboys fan. I graduated high school early and at the age of 17, I moved from Texas to Iowa. That says I should be either a Vikings, Bears or perhaps Packers fan. Yet, I am none of those. Because when I think of my earliest memory, I think of me yelling “Go Eagles!” in my dad’s living room in Texas. I’m not sure why, but it stuck with me. And I have been a diehard Eagles fan ever since the age of 3. 20 years later, I have not once even thought about another team. This is my team. These are my Eagles. And this… This is my family. When I tell you that this video made me emotional, that would be an understatement. As a 23 year old man with a career in law enforcement, I can tell you I cried while watching this video. Because this team, this community, these people… They have my heart. This team, along with the sport of football in general, has gotten me through my darkest days. This team, no matter if it’s a good year or a bad year, has always made me smile. This team has never failed to be a light in my life. And seeing just how much goes into this team… so couldn’t help but shed a tear. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single person who contributes to this team. I am a Philadelphia Eagles fan until I am 6 feet underground. I love this team. I love this city. And I love the Philadelphia Eagles.
